Finally fixed up the electrical box to store all my power points. Only worry about the heat building up inside when the box is closed. But so far only the Lumenaqua LED adaptor plug is generating a fair amount of heat.

Most of the time I'll leave the box open for easier maintenance in case I wanna off my skimmer, FR or WM.

My chaeto appears to be growing well after I changed my fuge lights to Lumenaqua Mini45.

Lighting looks stronger and chaeto turns greener than before. Will continue to monitor growth closely.

My scoly has some tissue rot issue a while back, dip in coral rx every 3-5days for 1mth.

Now it is recovering and hopefully it can grew back the lost tissue and cover up the exposed bone.

with your TLC sure can..with food might recover faster.

u try to feed the scoly after lights out with frozen brine shrimp. wash the brine shrimp then add some salt water and put into a syringe.

usually after lights out, their tentables will extend.

Thanks for the advice, bro. Usually I feed with lights on. When lights off at 10pm daily, quite late and also lazy for me. But anyway, will try out your method if possible. Saw some of your LPS growing really well in your threads, must drop by and see your tank in person if I got the chance.

my lights are out at 2am every night. i usually buy live brine shrimp from LFS on saturdays and using the syringe inject into the scoly when lights out and their tentacles extend. i do it about once a week. next morning you see they are fat fat.

one of my scoly also injured previously when a plate fell on it. had some tissue loss but not to the extend of exposing skeleton. my heart sank.

but with regular feeding, scoly recovered within a month.

got a noob question, I saw many suggest feeding after lights off. Is there a reason for that?

i'm not sure if others are feeding after lights out.. i depend on type of corals..

cos for scoly & duncans their tentacles will only come out after lights out. thus its easier for them to catch the food. so i feed after lights out.

i have super sun also and their tentacles also seem to be more fiery when lights out.

another reason is i have old timer fishes and 2 very kaypoh cleaner shrimps. they will dig my blastos after i feed and that will hurt the corals.

the fishes will hover around and snatch from the tentacles also.

thats why I prefer at night.

but i feed the anemone as and when i like and sometimes i feed once a month. anemone have fast moving tentacles.

I aso feed once a week only, what I mean is my light off daily at 10pm. I usually dun have the problem where tentacles dun extend. My trick is I spray a bit of liquid coral food to induce their appetite first. When their tentacles extend, I continue to target feed them. It's take abt a few mins for them to extend their tentacles.

I try out the lights off method to see the difference one day, thks.
