Not sure about excessive calcium=toxic water? I couldn't find any reference on the internet that say excessive calcium=toxic water. B)

The only reference I got is that it is a waste of money to add higher calcium additives when it is not utilize by the corals. Need to make sure it is within the "solubility" to be able to absorb by the corals.

My corals and fish are fine during the 3 months on high calcium.

So for those wandering why no Coralline Algae, do check the water parameters.

I am happy to report that the Coralline Algae started to grow back again.

I saw purple even on my Power head. :lol:

Thanks. That's the article that gives me the explanation. Trying to locate that link. It is the chart that I'm looking for.
