Been cycling my tank for about 10 days.. Added market prawn and left them rot till super unbearable stench  In addition, I've been dosing Brightwell bacter on the 3rd day since market prawn's introduction. Took measurements with Salifert kits and found that NH4 0-25, NH3 0 and Nitrate 50ppm.. Bought a cleaner shrimp and a pair of australian clowns from Iwarna, place them in the tank and they have been surviving since then (about 3 days already). Does it mean my tank is fully cycled??

Pls enlighten..

Many thanks :)

Sorry pal.. You may try testing both NH4 & NH3 to ascertain their presence once again. If results are positive, it may explained everything. Just note not to add-in anymore LS till 02 weeks later at least :)

Happy reefing..

Thanks bro.. :) For a moment I thought everyone's too busy to advice me  I shall run some tests again to ascertain results.

if you notice a spike in your Nh4 and Nh3 , before it drop to zero it would mean that the cycling is completed. After which, you can do a 50% water change to reduce the nitrate N03 in the water .

However, do stock your new tank slowly as your tank is rather new , the system need time to acclimatize to the additional bio load you put in each time.

Happy reefing.. cheers.gif
