I saw this urchin suddenly appeared after setup my tank for more than a year!

Friendly or Foe?

It is actually black in color but i used my iphone to take and it becomes whats shown...

Not very sure but it looks like pencil urchin. I'll say friendly, however do note that urchin eats coraline algea.

it only feeds in the day.. i have 3 with me.. they are good hair algae eaters...,however if your hair algae grow above 1cm, they tend to not eat. Plucking on a algae region tends to entice them on the area at night.

Dont you mean that it only feeds during in the evening?

Yeah they are great algae grazers but make sure that your rock work is stable or else they will wedge in between and knock your rock work down.

How can I push it out of the hole?

I am thinking of placing it in another rock.
