Can dead log be added to marine setup??

unless the wood is petrified or has been soaked in water for damn long time already... meaning it's completely "seasoned" and naturally preserved...

If not the same stuff.. tannins, ph, brown water, etc problems will come in...

Well at least this is true for FW, not sure SW how but I think it's the same principal

Haha actually put into wrong post .

It is actually a round spider like looking log ard 30cm looking like a inverted bowl with tentacles and hollow in the center . It was used for my LHs for 3 years and IMHO is already quite seasoned . Would test the water conditions and keep u'all updated . It would be a haven for smaller fishes if they are attacked . :unsure:

But i would like to try it and might even be able to start a new trend if it is alright *cross fingers*

Seriously.. don't.

No serious reefer would put a tree log in a reef tank.

And if it leaches acids into the water... you will have a hard time trying to keep PH up... ;)
