Dear All,

I'm moving from 2 ft to 3 ft tank soon. There are only rocks with Squirrel fish, nemos, Damsel.

The water temp. for the current 2 ft is within 28-30Deg. I was thinking of putting anemones in and not sure

will it survive without a chiller. Can advise?

Thanks.

Thanks guys,

I've tried using fan for the previous 2 ft tank but the water temp cant reach 27Deg could be due

to my house temp. too. Anyway I will try using fan again 1st and at the same time maybe wld consider

a chiller.

A chiller will save you alot of trouble as compared to cooling fan. The evaporation rate of cooling fan is too high, and you need to constantly top up water, somemight have difficulties getting pure fresh water for top up and some uses over night tap water which is very wrong...

Never use chiller before but i agree it saves alot.

Used to topped with 2-3 days h2o for my ex 2 ft and found fast growth dark brown algae on tank

and LR. Some bros said that for 3-4 ft fowlr wld be ok to top up with the overnight h2o.

So far now im using DI water for topping up. So far so good.

Thks for sharing bros
