hi all, the following review is on a 1/10hp chiller on a 2ft tank...:) well it started with me having a tight budget on a chiller and internet only has the usual models from hailea/resun. Searched for a few days and saw this rare to find hs-28a.Found out that even with the little info given, most were on the gd side.... Its specs is similar to the common hailea 150A also and is suitable to chill 120L of water maximum. Decided to get it at a LFS khatib/yishun area and test at home...:) first test was on a bucket of water with an external pump, took abt 10-15mins to chill from aprox 28c to 25c... Was pretty satisfied with its noise which is similar to a low hum which u'll probably notice for awhile and then it goes unnoticed and fan wasn't as noisy at all. Read on more on other forums/websites abt temp sensor problem and inaccuracy very common on china branded chillers and it kicks in too many times so a remedy was to get an external temp probe. I got mine from sim lim tower's basement(acez instrument if any of u plan to get) at only 2 reds, a gd price to pay for added efficiency. I'll add a link below to show how its easily fixed even for an electrician dummy like me. :P back to the review, aft spending 10-15mins on the simple wire, i hooked it up to eden 522 canister filter with a flow of 1000L/hr max and 1.3m head. Connections are converted from 16/22mm to 12/16mm hose to reduce flow. Chiller's recommended flow is at 250-1200L/hr. As tank is in my room, im quite surprised that its actually more or less the same noise as a computer fan and didnt disturb my slp considering that im a light sleeper. With that temp probe, kick in to kick out timing is arnd 5-10min : 45-60mins. Pretty reasonable i would say.:) mine came with a 6mths warranty also and its been a week of no problems(fingers crossed).:) in all, i would recommend this to those who has a tight budget and dont mind a china made chiller. I give it a 3.5 out of 5 in score. The missing 1 goes to efficiency which is expected for price as compared to other brands and 0.5 for having to alter the temp probe. A pretty quiet and smaller footprint and simple designed chiller.:) available at out sponsor aquarium artist or pm me to find out where i bought it and price...:)

This is a personal consumer review, in no ways am i affliated to any of the above or their partners if any and the link provided is for those with similar brand chillers and need assistance to change the temp probe. Use at own risk!

Fresh fishes and inverts! What's next? To the salty side of marine of course!:)
