bubbles in my tank..

i realised that bubbles are created in my tank from the sand area..and they dun seem to burst easily..when i create bubbles..they also dun burst easily..

so does any one knows whats happening..? thanks..

What are you comparing it with?

Bubbles from soap? freshwater bubbles?

And why are you so stressed about bubbles?

You must be talking about Valonia, bubble algae!

Yep, the hard ones are bubble algae n definitely won't burst unless poked with sharp object. These algae's are fine except that you would not want them to overrun in yr tank. BTW, it means they are using up excess unwanted nutrients in yr tank.

There's a lot to be paranoid about if you don't read up first.

I read a lot n draw my own conclusions n there's still so so much I do not know!

its not an algae..its just that what ever bubbles created in the water..will rise and it never bursts..ok..it takes a long time to burst..

If thats the case then you got a protein layer on the water surface, you can skim it off with a surface skimmer or kitchen towel

If it is bubble algae, you can get the emerald crab to get rid of them. I got 2 from ML and they seem to do the work.
