Red seriatopora hystrix - had it since Mar 2012 when it came to my tank as a brown-pink piece due to shipping stress. It's since morphed into a nice red colour.

Fiji purple sameonsis - had this colony since Christmas eve 2011.

Another Fiji colony - this one is a pink poccilopora sp. Also had it since Dec 2011.

Tricolour purple valida - a brownish piece that has transformed into purple hues.

Red table millepora - got this piece about 4 weeks ago. Hope it can continue its growth rate (sprouts a few new heads every week) and maintain its rich red colour.

I don't have any secret in keeping sps corals as it's all practices readily available from forums like sgreefclub.

Thanks. Well, not all have shown great improvement though. I have a few colonies that have exhibited improvement but on a slooooww basis and a couple that refuse to be display anything except dull, washed-out colours.

Surprisingly, some of the Fiji SPS corals (having a reputation for being sensitive and delicate) have kept their colours and grown well e.g. my purple and green samoensis, pink tipped sarmentosa, pink pocci, red hystrix, and to a certain extent the a.valida which I have posted a pic of above.

I keep my alk and calcium levels as stable as I can with weekly checks and ensuring good random water flow and adequate lighting - the basics. In addition, I utilize a combination of Fauna Marin and Prodibio supplements to keep the water as clean as I can.

Btw for the valida, u know what is the reason why only the tip is coloured? I am facing the same problem for my valida also. I read on the net, it said the PO4 is high, but yours is ultra low nutrient should not be this problem. Got any insight on what happen and how to colour the whole piece.
