Finally decided to give up on biopellets.

Am using the npx brand. It seems to work more on nitrates than po4. Even though I dose nitrate, my po4 hardly budge.

Had also tried using peroxide to kill buable algae and hoping that it will aid in neutralizing po4 as it did lower the po4.

But had observed that my orp will drop from 29x to 22x if I utilize 50ml of peroxide. So wouldn't want to take too much risk while battling bubble algae.

The current test is on nopox by redsea.

For this type of carbon dosing, I find tat my po4 has a faster reaction in terms of reduction but my nitrate reacted much slower. Water looks clearer.

One important factor I notice is my orp which had all the while stabilizing at 29x, has increased to 35x after 2 wks of nopox.

Chilli coral is extending and for longer periods.

Previously when there's high po4, it doesn't extend at all. So I guess a reefer can use a chilli coral to act as a indicator for high po4.

But my thorny oyster shell opening is smaller. But seafans are well.

An abstract from this link regarding

Dosing peroxide. So it confirm my observation is correct.

http://netclub.athiel.com/redox.html

"Adding hydrogen peroxide (not at all recommended, but some hobbyists do) will make the redox potential drop to the 70 or 80 mv level (actually one good use of it is when one injects ozone and has residual ozone in the tank - adding just one drop of hydrogen peroxide will neutralize the residual ozone instantly)."

Decided to do a prototype of direct feed of drain water to skimmer input. Wanted to just allow expected water to be processed by the skimmer and excess water to go to the refugium. Using a normal nylon filter sock. Will not be using the 200um filter sock as the nylon sock can prevent debris from entering skimmer pump.

Got a green bucket(daiso) and use an old flexible tube from macro skimmer.

http://s160.photobucket.com/user/waterbottle_23/media/Mobile%20Uploads/DSC_0070_zpsgmnzshy0.jpg.html]DSC_0070_zpsgmnzshy0.jpg

Cut a circular hole on the bucket and install the hose connector. http://s160.photobucket.com/user/waterbottle_23/media/Mobile%20Uploads/DSC_0071_zpsv8ocyiqm.jpg.html]http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t172/waterbottle_23/Mobile%20Uploads/DSC_0071_zpsv8ocyiqm.jg

Use an empty supplement container to mate the flexible hose to the skimmer pump http://s160.photobucket.com/user/waterbottle_23/media/Mobile%20Uploads/DSC_0072_zpsgsbpvpsp.jpg.html]DSC_0072_zpsgsbpvpsp.jpg

http://s160.photobucket.com/user/waterbottle_23/media/Mobile%20Uploads/DSC_0074_zpshipsbeim.jpg.html]DSC_0074_zpshipsbeim.jpg

Hooked up the bucket and skimmer http://s160.photobucket.com/user/waterbottle_23/media/Mobile%20Uploads/DSC_0075_zpsm4qkbmbp.jpg.html]DSC_0075_zpsm4qkbmbp.jpg

To do this direct feed, I try to make sure the bucket is not overflow. So closed the gate valve. More flow will also be directed to refugium. However, the water level will drop in my skimmer compartment which affect the water level of skimmer.

As I have existing tee off from my return pumps(previously use for fluid reactors), I directed the water flow to the skimmer compartment(the directed water are from the refugium.
