skimmer overracting

hi,

a few days ago i added seachem matrix into my tank and since then, my skimmer has been overreacting and producing alot of bubbles, such that i have to empty my collection cup every 10 minutes.i am using red sea prizm skimmer. any advise on what can i do?

I believe you can do so by

1) partial water change if you found you had overdose

2) connect a tube/pipe from the skimmer cap into a big 1.5 litre bottle, the collection will be more and frequency of emptying the cap becomes lesser. But seriously, every 10 mins is no joke. 1 hr you have to empty 6 times. One day, you have to empty 144 times. I think the amount of water you require to wash the cap, is more than the amount you do WC.
