No More Residing Pals

I have decided to get more Live Rocks.

The thing is that I have this phobia cos each time new live rocks is added, it seems to carry some Residing Life Forms inside.

The last addition of Live rocks brings me Bristle Worms and a Pistol Shrimp.

What is the best way to get these Life Forms OUT of the Live Rocks before I put them into my Display tank??

Any Advise ...

Thanks..

Using freshwater? Won't it destroy some of the beneficial bacteria in the LR?

Gotta take the good with the bad. Over time, beneficial bacteria form your tank will migrate onto the new rocks.

ok, confused here...then why choose LR over dead rocks?

If you buy LR from LFS, some of them might comes with hitchhiker such as bristle worm, algaes and misc creepers.

Therefore, some people prefer to use dead rocks instead. Overtime, the bacteria in your existing live rock will populate over the areas of the dead rock, turning it into a "live" one over time.

Ok, just thot if there's any easy way to flush out these unwanted hitchhikers since most LFS sells LR.
