Help needed~~~~~

First time here, just started my marine hobby

Tank was properly cycled before introduction of livestocks.

Got a Clarke Clown and six line wrasse in my 2ft tank.

Did a test on water parameters, Ammonia,Nitrite is 0 while N03 is at 25ppm. Temperature ard 26-27 degrees. Running a weipro skimmer.

Problem:

I got the Clarke clown and six line wrasse about 2 weeks ago. Last week, Clarke clown passed away, no symptoms of itch or any phyiscal damage but did notice before it died, it was panting, like grasping for breath. Now, my six line wrasse is also showing the same symptoms, its hiding in the small gaps of my liverocks lying sideway down, panting for breath, I doubt it will make it through for the next few days. Both have been feeding well, and I notice both of them refuse to eat, went into hiding when this symptoms appear.(the grasping for breath)

Both fishes are from CF and I dont think the fault lies with the source.

My corals such as seafans,yumas and bubbles are doing fine and my cleaner shrimps are also doing fine. Did a test on water parameters, all seem to be ok. Puzzled and at a loss of what to do next.

Does anyone have any idea what is causing my fish dying?

did you check your ph value? when they are having problem breathing what's the ph like?

Before I transferred all my LS over to my current 4ft I put all of them in my 100 litres tank.

Same as you, all my fishes died and before they die they are having problems breathing.

The rest of the LS including shrimps, corals, anemones are all doing well. I did nothing that before they marti the ph swing quite badly like from 7.6 at night to 8.3-8.4 in the day.

I also noticed that the fishes don't eat so well then followed by difficulty in breathing the next day.

Now don't seems to have the problem, already more than 2 weeks already and eat well.

Maybe you want to check your ph and then add kalk as topup water. If your tank is small then pls add the kalk slowly if not you're going to stress your LS when the ph change suddenly.
