Tank Maker recent workmanship

The scratches is not really visible when there's no water. Put the water in and the refraction makes it visible. switch on your MH and a lot of the scratches that was not there becomes visible. So my suggestion is to ask the maker to wait for you to fill up your tank and switch on lights before paying or give him a post dated check.

My friend is quite new to the hobby and does not know much. Didnt start bugging him till recently. I was bz planning my own 5ft and didnt have time to help him when his tank came. Have recommended him to get tankmaker to replace the glass.

I am not his customer and this thread is not mean to target him. Just to bring the issue up and at the same time hope can help the new guys when the buy tank. Not trying to discredit him. Just hope to bring the message across that if you cant handle the workload, dont sacrafice workmanship for business.

Most of the guys with problems that I know of are on close terms with him and thus do not wish to blow up the matter. Just I feel that a retailer/maker have a responsibility to his clients. And if I did not bring this up, will just blow over and might hurt his business more. He is a nice guy and I wish him no harm just facts. Although not many of his customer are verbal, I am sure they understand what I am trying to relay.

your friend get a issue on tank and you launch a personnel attack without his acknowledgement; seem no problem was found earlier and you trying to comment now the problem on a tank and implying all got issuse.

think one should handle task professionaly; like many bro/sis did. not mi-use SGREEF site

I know everyone is responsible to what they say. And all business has responsibility to their customer. If a business is responsible to his customer and ensure good quality and customer satisfaction. And they whole ideal of a forum is for exchange of infomation.

If a business claims that they do not know the complaint is, means they accept the quality of their products (pass QC). And if that product cause unsatisfaction. So how does that reflect upon the business. Or can the business claims that they do not know. I heard people saying got bubble because of bracing but that's a load of bull. Just go to kalantan lane and look at the CHEAP fish tank and see if there are so many bubbles.

It was not my intention to harm but to bring up a known fact amongst those who already think this way but do not wish to make public. I have nothing against anyone just business is business. I just wish to relay to people who intent to get custom tanks to look out for quality of tanks delivered. This would apply to tank got from all tank makers. Even my cheap tank for fresh water has no visible bubbles in the silicon work. neither does my old 3ft which has full bracing top and bottom.

As for permission, why do I need permission for bring up a fact. (I am sure those people know what I am saying). I did not bring up any names. Just caution those who have not buy and remind those that are guilty.

asfor tank maker.. i believe that he got quite alot of orders.. mayb rushing thru work and the workmanship is not up to your standard...

if u wan those with standards.. look for a company with ISO cert.. yeah? u'll see the difference in the pricing.. locally make tanks are expensive.. that's y most are made in malaysia.. china and indonesia...

Well count myself lucky cos the person inquestion was too bz to meet me so I had to gfind someone else. Whew..... As for targeting, I have not mention names. Everyone one who make tanks are a tank maker. As for number of tank with issue, it is not one, I know of at least 4. But the last one was probably the worst.

Just glad that my friend will be getting a replacement tank and hope this time round, it is of good quality. Wanted to get picture of his tank to show all the workmanship but friend's tank will be replaced soon with new one and he live on the other side of the island so prob no chance to take liao!

some ppls dont mind abit fault here and there where as some do...

of coz for everyone since everyone spend so much for this hobby would want their tank in gd shape and not spoil everything...

what tanggy say is not rubbish.. where as other say also not wrong.. just that something happen to be unluck get a bad one..

just like u buy a phone or pc.. of coz everyone will tell u that brand gd.. and u go buy it and happen to got a faulty one... so even gd stuff also got some faulty one...

so long the tank marker after sale service is still gd then ok.. and not denying this and that or dont bother about it since u pay money already.

so all in all.. just some view sharing ppls.. I believe this topic do help ppls what to look out for when they got their new tank..

of coz tank marker -> dont worry about it.. u do well and your service is gd everyone believe in it.. so just be sure you do check those new tank before delivery and this can save you alot of trouble in the long run...

He is not that cheap. Went to kalantan lane and was qoute 280 for a 4x2x2 10mm with transport. So you telling me that his cabinet cost 700++?? I dont think so. we pay for the workmanship and service. LFS tanks are expensive cos they have overhead/rental to cover and have to make a profit. Even glass make need to cover shop rental and labour cost here. But if you work from home, all this saving in rental is pass on to the customer and more business. Who would buy off someone on the net if they are expensive??

See...the case has been solved...

I think all these issues should be solved by the buyer and seller (maker).....it is best for them to sort out rather than us making a big issue out of it...

I am glad that my one of my friend's issue has been resolved. And that my bring up this matter helped.

Jus wish that this thread will give some insight to would be tank buyers and take note on what to look out for before paying for it.

Before people start thinking that I am on a rampage to target and destroy anyone here. Will leave it at that. Hope my own tank dont dissapoint me!! ke ke
