Is there any calculator or guide online for me to calculate the width of a overflow i need in my tank and also the diameter of the hole to drill.

Planning on a 3 x 2 x 1.8ft tank. need to make it quiet and efficient and worry-free.

Many thanks.

For the hole size, you need to confirm the diameter of the threaded part of the tank adaptor fitting. My 1" fittings measured 32mm and used a 35mm hole saw. Not so ideal but works fine without leaks, thanks to the larger flanges it has.? You may want to get the tank adaptor from Madpetz as they use two female adaptors and a threaded pipe... Which gives a much wider flanges than the standard ones you get from hardware shops.
