Chiller connection

I am wondering where is the best place in the sump to place the inlet and outlet pipe of the chiller.

Can I tee of the transfer pipe to direct water into the chiller?

should I place the outlet pipe from the chiller into the main tank?

Personally, I prefer

Sump return compartment / last compartment -> chiller -> Main Tank

My configuration is to pump the chiller from the first compartment of my sump and the outlet of chiller back to my sump last compartment before going back to main tank.

From the first compartment to the last compartment the water will bypass the skimmer .

Just connect the return pump of the sump to chiller .. Then chiller out back into main tank. Chillers will need high flow to be efficient.

please make sure you meet the chiller minumum and max flowrate ratings. Too fast flow and it may affect the chiller... if you use independent pump for chiller, can place the outflow tube from chiller to return pump compartment.

If I connect the return pump to the chiller, then I will save on one pump. The sump will be less cluttered and neater.

The outflow tube in the main tank help to create movement of water in the main tank. I am trying to use less equipment and electricity. Is this arrangement workable?
