Attaching SPS to LR

hi pros, my uncle has just bought his first SPS (acropora) and asked me whether he can glue the SPS using wessbond super glue. I saw the cover and it said it is "cyanoacrylic acid ester". pls help :thanks:

i saw his acro. its only a frag with a few branches. about 3cm tall only :lol::lol::lol:

I recommend using superglue gel.

It's thicker and takes slightly longer to harden, giving you time to twist and make adjustments.

Also other superglues are very liquid and run off very easily all over the place! In rounded uneven areas.. they don't even enable you to have any surface grip coz the glue doesn't even contact the frag enough.

thanks guys. my uncle used 3M superglue gel. but he worry that the glue will release harmful chemicals into the tank. hoping 4 the best. :lol::lol::lol:

But rember to use only the 'Gel' type.

ever since my uncle has got his sps, it inspired me to get one for my own. today, i got a nice slight pinkish acro with blue polyps.

but i know that my light will not colour it up and i am trying to get it to brown up a bit so that i can persuade my parents to sponsor me for a 4ft. :lol::lol::lol: (will be posting plans soon)

another question, do you guys take the rock out and glue or apply glue to the base of the sps and press on the rock? :thanks:

blue polyps? :blink: care to share with us a pic? :)

Apply glue on to base of the frag and press/twist onto the rock. Hold it there for about 10-15secs.
