Recommended pump for SCWD

Hi

I recently bought a SCWD and a tom brand 800G/hr Ph.

I have installed the ph with a straight joint up to the scwd (both are in my main tank ) but while I find that it is switching (every 12 second), I just feel that the pressure is not enough even thought the water flow is there.

I don't really see my fish swimming in fast current

SO i need a recommendation of pump that is suitable for the scwd.

where is the pump drawing water from?it should be a closed circuit

Water is drawn from the main tank...what do you mean b it should be a close circuit ?

minimum ehiem 1262 (which I am running now) or the best go for the iwaki clone (resun MD55) coz it needs > 3000l/hr to be effective.

Switching Current Water Device (SCWD pronounced as Squid)

IME it need a very strong pump in order to make it more effective

That is what I am using now....but it is at 35 watt for 800gallon per hour power head.

Just to check...what is the wattage of the eheim 1262 or resun md55.

Anyway, you use eheim just for scwd or as return pump connected to scwd ?

u need a very strong pump for the switching current to be effective..

Anybody got a spare eheim to lend me to try for a while....before commiting to buying one
