Home Alarm system with SMS alert

Hi Guys, really dunno where to place in post in so try in Equipment forum :-)

Are there any home/burglar alarm systems that has power supply monitoring and the capability of sending you a sms or notification if there are problems like blackout etc etc? Will be very useful to monitor power supply so that we can come to the rescue of the Reef tank in case of power supply Issues.

I guess so but looking at installing a home/burglar alarm system so tot if can have the added function of power supply monitoring , than can kill 2 bird with 1 stone.

IKS can monitor but needs a siemens cellphone, SMS module and it will cost another bomb... hehe

Actually alot of brand name does it is juz extra wiring & point availabilty ...

I remember ADT (the one that was pushing rather hard in HDB months back) does it .. at extra cost of cos .. lots of LFS subscribe to such service too ..

btw .. I am in no way related to ADT hor ..

You can try ADT. Once the power is cut, it will send a singal using its 8hrs long backup batt in the unit to the monitoring station. In no time you will get an security representative calling you regarding power failure which might indicate burglary in your house ..kee..kee..

On other note, you can even call back your system and say hello to your fishes thru the intercom system and also hear the background sound of water dripping out of your tank
