Coraline algae

I'm trying to grow coraline algae but so far only been successfully growing green ones.

is it due to lighting?

Would appreciate the words of wisdom from more experienced reefers out there.

if there is already coralline alage on the rock then it should spread with the proper calcium level?

already starting to spread in my new nano

Using D-D H2Ocean salt.

From my own personal experience, magnesium levels seem to be the deciding factor besides lighting.........I dose a lot of magnesium to get the coralline algae I have today.........

Some use the magnesium with epsom salt...but i believe it should be fine without and works better. anyone dose mag with epsom here? or just plain mag, calcl and naco3?
