I'm looking for mini skimmer for dymax IQ5.

Please advice which brand and model of skimmer can fix into the back chamber of the IQ5.

There is a skimmer built for IQ5 itself. Have a friend who is using it for months and so far only clear water

Manufactured by Dymax? What is the model and price?

Not sure about the model but anyway there is only one model for IQ5, you can check with Aqua Empire. It a very small one that fits exactly into the middle compartment and u need to get another air pump for it.

I saw a new nano skimmer from Skimz which is designed for their new nano tank which should fit the IQ5 as well, maybe you can check that out.

I saw a new nano skimmer from Skimz which is designed for their new nano tank which should fit the IQ5 as well, maybe you can check that out.

Saw the picture at the RC, I think the skimmer is designed for Skimz IBOX8.

There is another brand similar with Skimz mini skimmer is from Glazer, named as Pico Skimmer but the price is too Ex (USD75)

Are you sure they selling the skimmer itself? I have already emailed them few days ago n the reply was sell as a set unless I interpet wrongly or the staff there sleeping lo .

Anyway, I have diyed a similar function skimmer just like the one IB8 use . It cost me less than 8 buck n the result not bad... :lol: !

yes they sell the skimmer alone but i dun think can fit inside the IOS of iq5,i'm running a 1feet cube diy ios without skimmer.i think for our small tank waterchange of 20% is faster then cleaning the skimmer cup haha,plus the skimmer pump also

we keep thinking skimmer is the de fecto equipment to have but forgot is just a nano tank that we are talking about.

no equipment can match water change
