Just got myself two small common percula from two different tank from Ah Beng.

One of them loved my new life spectrum thera+a pellet but the other one refused to eat at all but this chap goes crazy when I put in cyclopeeze... Should I be worried of this? Just worry that the cyclopeeze not good enough since the pellet have better nutrition and garlic

Thanks

they are choosy ... mine doesn't want cyclopeze and spirulina. still 50/50 on dainichi, and likes NLS. and yeah, make sure the pellet size are small enough. the NLS i feed my tailspot is only 0.35mm, but they love nibbling on these, stealing from the blennies, eating them like peanuts :pinch:

Yeap mine used to spit out pellets from aquarium munster... Wrong size.... Then came the disease and my clowns didnt eat at all for days... Not being negative but its still better to monitor and take action when needed.... Wiped most of my fishes except my mandarinfish... Try different frozen food or read from members that reef gourmet or sth like that from Ml seems good?

Fresh fishes and inverts! What's next? To the salty side of marine of course!:)

but the funny thing is that the clown who is eating pellet is actually the smaller size guy.

It is the other bigger chap who refuse to eat and keep spitting them out. Now he dun even look at the pellets...

Worries me a bit. He only gets active when I put in Cyclopeeze

Hmmm try feeding cyclopeeze first then slowly mix in pellets?

JeffL, i realised you seem to have this problem... like getting harlequin shrimps without knowing they eat starfish, clownfish not feeding etc. If you read a bit more before you purchase your lifestocks i think you will benefit more.

On buying fishes, try to ask the LFS to show you if it's feeding. Usually they have some pellets etc on the side of the tanks where you can feed the fishes to see their response. Always good to get those fishes that are already feeding, as non-feeding fishes usually won't do well at home as well. Also, you can get the same food to ensure at least there's one type of food they eat before you throw it others.
