Currently, have 1 cleaner shrimp in my tank. But i was looking for shrimp that clean detritus, scavenger, cleaning the sand bed(seaching for food).

I have a few options like the fire shrimp, peppermint shrimp, camel shrimp and the pistol shrimp..

Anyone has any good suggestions that which shrimp is more suitable for me ?

Hi,

my experience is that my cleaner shrimp helps alot in ridding parasites on my fishes, the other boxing shrimp and fire shrimp always hide behind the rocks...

As for stirring the sand, I have a blenny dat stirs the sand pretty much...

I don't think can add a blenny cos my 2 strip damsel is rather aggressive, having a few month already.

So i was thinking that adding a shrimp as my damsel usually will not bother invertebrates.

Bro dont worry....I have a 4 strip and a domino.....they rule my tank but they never disturb my benny and blue band goby... :D except other damsel....my poor yellow tail and green chromis

My benny very hardworking...clean all the algae even though not so even.

My Blue band goby....kekeke....likes scoping sand into its mouth and split it out from the grills.....but 1 disadvantage.....my polyps and brain is always struggling to get rid of the sand on it ....sigh! <_<

Something to suggest wh not many reefers use. I hv always been using this fish to keep my sand free of excess food.

Not all pistol shrimps are bad. I have one that lives with my watchman..sri lankan tiger pistol..fierce as it looks..but darn docile..does'nt even harm anything..not even boxing crabs or 1cm thor amboinensis.

Always something more important than fish.
