Tank cabinet

Recommended Posts

Hi im newbie here. I purchased by mistake thinking that my tank cabinet will have space for sump tank but it arrived with centre panel which is fixed to the structure. Can my 3ft tank fit a small sump tank in one of the compartment? Does it enough to suppport the 3ft tank? I plan to just run by filling in sea water instead of mixed salt water, can anyone one advise the +ve and -ve of starting w sea water? Hope to hear frm some experts here..

Just to share i bought a quick start system package frm jireh. But i realised it doesnt come with space in e cabinet for sump tank if am to consider upgrading using sump tank. Saw reviews here that most let go of e quick start n revert to sump. So after reading the reviews, i forsee that e quick start system will just fr my temporary use before i think of upgrading to sump which should be e proper running system. I m afraid i hav alrdy made a big mistake with e tank even before i could start running.

No body say you cannot have 2 parts of a sump tank with piping to join them thru' a hole drilled in your center panel.

Show us some photos with measurement of your cabinet interior. Maybe we can figure out some workable solution. BTW, does your 3 footer come equipped with a built-in overflow?

Hi bro,

Normally the centre structure is just two sets of screws and a plank of wood, if your sump tank is not in yet, I am guessing that your aquarium is not on the cabinet yet, than you can remove the centre plank and put in the sump first than put back the centre structure. Just my two cents worth as I dunno how your cabinet look like

Probably u can mod the center panel with proper supporting beam and transfer the

Weight down with adding in column at the centre. Think a pic showing the cabinet

Will help. But do keep in mind that it is lots of weight, do mod with care or get specialist

To do.
