Can aquac skimmer be used without sump, such as placing on top of tank?

Using a TS12 kit on 4ft tank and I reckon its just enough flow

Can use a Aquamedic OR3500 pump for the weipro 2014? or is it too strong. Thanks

Got it new.... When placed in open water it makes no rattling noise just a silent humm. As soon as I place it near the glass it gets louder and a rattling noise can be heard . Do you get rattling noises riot? or is it silent when place on the glass? Hmm have been running for a while now and still make noise

Just on a side not, are the weipro pumps noisy when running the skimmer?

Hi I've just added two bangai cardinals to my marine tank hoping that there was a male and female. But unfortunately I think I have either 2 females or 2 males, as when one of the bangais sees the other one he/she wants to hide and run as far away as possible. Is there any physical differences to look out for when sexing bangais? Well heres a pic of the bangai the other one looks exactly the same, can someone tell me whether its a guy or gal. Thanks
