My Ca is still rather low, ard 390-400PPM. The Hydrocarbonat will only help in a certain extend but still does not work as effectively as a CR. Imagine if it's able to release/ maintain my Ca level, then I'm gonna spend more $ cos my SB will be thinner and thinner day by day. Furthermore, need to hv CO2 to dissolve the calcium media!

Another update of my lighting fixture. Notice the special connector used for the fixture! With the special connector and the external e-ballast, I can easily replace the ballast without the need to dismantle the fixture! Upz.....

So far, can't tell if the Cerepores really help as my nitrate level is always high since day 1. Maybe due to the poor cycling stage as I didn't add in the biobacter to speed up the cycling and increase the bacteria load in my tank! Reason being is my tank maker had advise to only add the biobacter only I have a denitrator which will help to speed up the breaking down of NO3.

If you gonna dim your T5, then a dimmer ballast is a MUST! From the info I gathered, if you wanna create the sunrise/ sunset environment for your tank, SIMMOD is a must but I dun think you need a variable socket panel to make it work. U may wanna contact Reef Depot directly to seek their advise!

Nope! Very siong during scaping but thanks to my 5 step ladder! I nearly bought a scuba diving mask during scaping cause my tank is 2.5ft height and 3ft width, so very difficult to scape!!!
