Wht are the reason that may cos coraline to turn white?

I get my DI resin cartridge from RB at $35. Possible to buy the resin in loose pack for replacement instead. That shd same some cost! Had only been collecting ard 300 liters of water and the TDS raise from 0 to 11ppm. On avg, the tap water in my hse is ard 55ppm. Is there diff grades of resin which will affect the capacity of DI water?

Thks for the advise! Most of the time, my Mg is ard 1000 which is not proportion to the 3x ratio as stated. Shd this be the case? Will try the test kit tonite!!!

Been dosing for at least 2 weeks and juz buying the Mg additives had already cost me more then $100 in less then 2 weeks!!!

Juz got the espom salt yesterday and I had already use up 1 pack within 2 days. Will they be any side effect if I use espom salt as a supplement for Mg? My Ca is pretty constant, between 400 tp 410. Why is my Mg dropping so fast? Pls advise!!!

Eyeing on the Denitrstor and skimmer from Aqua Medic. I notice that the price stated online is much cheaper then getting it locally. Shd I go ahead with the online order or get it locally instead?

Mg level is ard 1000. My sg is 1.022 and hw high shd I increase my sg? Will adding espom salt help in this case?

I'm using Aqua Medic Reef Salt for mixing salt water and my tank is only abt 2mth old. I'm using Salifert test kits and I notice my Mg level is very low. Avg 950 to 1000. I had been dosing using salifert, seachem and Tropic Marin Mg and the Mg level just could not maintain at the desire level. I only hv 1 damsel, 1 blenny, 2 goby and 3 shrimp in my tank. Is there any thing wrong with the salt that I'm using or due to other reason? I had already spend alot $$$ for dosing Mg and this is not going to solve the problem!!! Tank - 3x3x2.5ft My Ca is ard 410, KH is 9, PH is 8,1. Pls HELP....HELP......

Thks for the advise! Is Cyclop-eeze more for fishes it coral? I notice that my coral can't seems to feed on Cyclop as it's normally swipe away by the current inside the tank! Hw shd I go abt feeding them with Cyclop?

Any other methods since on/off pump will shorten the lifespan??? I'm feeding pellets and cyclop at the moment!!! Pls advise!!!

Found this company while searching for DI unit. Cost ard $300++ for a DI unit. Quite expensive but the quality of the product seems quite solid!!! What's the avg TDS reading from household tap water? I find that though I hv 2xOR6500 as return and 1xOR2500 as wavemaker, the current isn't that strong as I expected! I'm still considering adding another tunze to increase the current! But for my mthly electric bill....

I'm currently using 2xOR6500 for return, 1xOR2500 for creating current in the main tank. Intend to add OR3500 & OR3700 for skimmer, 1 x OR3500 for reactors and chiller! Kindly advise whether am I using too many pump! Btw, hw to determine if the flow rate in my maintain is sufficient? I feel that I may need to get another tunze for my 3ft x 3ft x 2.5ft new tank!

Is it cheaper to get their equip online? It seems like some items are almsot 50% different as compare to buying online and locally. Pls give yr comment!

For a 2ft height tank, shd I use a 150w or 250w MH if I'm keeping a mixed reef tank?

I was told 2 put the tank in one of my bedroom which is my "wealth" location. Base on my wife and my KUA NO, not advisable to place in the NW direction which is my living/ dining area!!!

Thks for the info but there's something I dun understand. Kalkwasser can generate high ph and calcium reactor provides calcium ions and carbonate ions to boost your calcium levels and alkalinity. Isn't pH oso related to alkalinity? To use both, wht will be to proportion like?

So far I only manage to locate some link for the sliding lighting hood which for my case, not applicable. In terms of removable lighting, how will it be which is oso convenience?

May I know wht the diff between using Kalkwasser and caclium reactor?
