scoop out the so called floating debris loh..... then over time.... it will be clean!!!! and when u change water that time.... try to siphon the debris lying at bottom of yr sump.....

not when they grow out of hand and over populate yr tank.... and u get a marine planted tank!!!

tot that there is a like a certain amt of zeovit medium u need to use with the amount of water in yr tank? is the resun reactor enuff for yr purpose?

tank looks good.... btw... u better get rid of algae that sgrows out of yr rocks natuarlly... either get tangs or herbivoures that feed on this algae... or not... pluck them out yrself.... u might end up with a marine planted tank like me!!!

seriously.... i dun understand.... how come hand will have allergic reaction one??? is it just me or are people getting more sensative??? i can dip my hand in and out... and with no allergic reaction.... only when need to wash car or toilet... then my hand starts to 'crack'.... told my wife and mum that i allergic to house work... heehee....

no offense.... but u are seriously way way way way out in setting up a refugium.... to my knowledge and way of reefing... for a DSB to work.... it must have a huge surface area in addition to the deep sand... water must be allowed to flow slowly over the sand.... macro algae.... quantity the more the merrier.... light pref to be on 24/7.... for a sump yr size.... at least half of it.. should be refuge.... to make it at least decent...

my tank was something like that.... i took out all the LRs.... FW soak the LRs for 2 weeks..... now the whole thing seem to be starting all over again..... haiz...... trust me tangs wont work.... i had an AT, YTs (3), PT, Kole Tang, Chevron, Achilles, Powder Blue.... all did not help one bit.... in the end... all died!!!!
