  1. nigricans is one of my fav too.. also known as 'whitecheek'.. it grows up to be stunning, and its beauty is comparable to AT, in my opinion.. good catch! p.s. for acanthurus, i usually put in nori on clip everyday for it to graze on the whole day while i'm not around.. this will fatten them up pretty quickly.. can also soak in selcon and dried the night before for extra nutrients.
  2. awesome looking! absolutely love ur tank size, and the scaping is fantastic!
  3. agreed.. i had varian before, and they INDEED eats only planaria and nothing else.. but on both occasions they MIA after a few days.. might by my acclimatization not sufficient..
  4. planaria? my old tank kenna jialat jialat also.. tried alot of things, in the end, the simple old 6line still the best.. can try adding a small one to take care of it.. it worked for me, not sure if it will work for u..
  5. storing power for post-exams..

  6. if i'm not wrong, carpets have never been reported to split in captivity.. but there are successful attempts at manually cutting it in half and letting it heal.. if the carpet splits, it could be one of the first few in history! and the rbta could most probably have splitted due to stress-induced, as its a new environment.. they do that very often to cope with new surroundings.. but seeing that it has healed pretty well is a good sign of health and quality indeed!
  7. ^ agreed.. planted aro and discus are hard to achieve and strike a balance , i'm sure u'll be well prepared for reefing! nice setup on the way!
  8. awesome stuff Jack! btw, those 2 polyps of mushrooms.. WAO.. neat stuff..
  9. ^ agreed.. its really really not easy to do decom-sales.. bro milch, dun worry, i'm pretty sure all reefers here will understand fully! let it not add stress to anyone! its a fun hobby!
  10. really good stuff here at good pricings.. ups for u bro.. too bad i too bz nowadays with exams, if not, i sure go help u 'clean up'..
  11. OMG BRO! just saw this thread.. definitely hope to see u back REALLY SOON! ALL DA BEST BRO..
  12. bro lemon, i also using solely NSW for water change every week, possibly from the same source as u.. while i was home 2 days ago, everything still seemed normal to me.. (staying in school hostel now, preparing for exams) but when i get home tonight i will go take a closer inspection on my frags.. and update here again if i notice any anomalies.. i do agree, sometimes things turn funny and we might not know the cause of it.. the feelings ain't good.. usually for the case of SPS, whenever i notice something awry, i frag it, and place it in another location or tank (usually my dad's tank), and hope that at least i get some 'seeds' to survive.. and not lose it all.. very rarely will we encounter entire tank corals wipe-out, which i hope its not in your case.. if like what cedric said, sometimes its just THAT particular piece that is problematic after shipment and decides to die on u after some time, den theres nothing much we can do also.. anyway, all the best for the rest of your sps, i'm sure they'll turn out fine.. once i get home, i update u again..
  13. wao bro milch, ur new spacing looks way awesome..
  14. nice scaping.. love the sandy feel.. your SPS called small?!?! den mines are called non-existent liao.. hahaha.. very nice colours btw.. nice!
  15. ya thats not aipstasia.. some kind of sun definitely..
  16. the colour theme and the details on the pics.. 1 word, awesome!
  17. whites? very interesting colour.. have no idea what it is.. photos photos milch! btw ur lineatus really big and nice.. tok kong..
  18. bro no tank updates!? time to go trigger-happy on ur camera again.. hows all the fishes holding up for u?
  19. u are really a softie fanatic.. didn't know softies also got such nice colours.. especially with all the caulis and the cesps..
  20. wao! really! thats very nice and interesting.. hope i can get to keep 1 next time.. simply love these small and unique looking fishes in every nook and cranny of the rockworks.. makes there more 'things' to look at.. like every corner also got interesting stuff to see..
  21. the current scaping is nicer imo.. its actually very tranquil, much like the iwagumi freshwater planted style.. btw when it comes to t5, bro MarcoVan is right, not about total wattage.. actually more like, the number of tubes.. strength in numbers.. and of course, brand, age, and distance from water also matters.. all the best!
  22. wao wao.. nice new additions.. that dragonface is so cute wish i could keep these kinda interesting fishes too.. but i think my current too strong, and AT too aggro.. it might just flow into overflow..
