some pics from my trip to Jiangyin Road in Shanghai.. nothing much there to see.. saw a baby sea turtle though..
-
i just went to take a walk at JiangYin road today, supposely the more popular aquarium district in ShangHai.. nothing that really interest me i would say.. and only 1 shop has some marine stuff, but its very limited.. the freshwater stuff were mainly goldfishes, kois, dragons.. very few plants.. almost no crystal shrimps sighted.. i shall post some pics later today or tml, once i upload them from my cam.. any more places to recommend bros?
-
hey thanks bro, shall check it out..

hi bro Eniram, i'm no expert, but from my limited knowledge of RBTAs, i can share what i experienced.. it moves till it finds a perfect location that it likes, and stay there all the time.. UNTIL it splits, den the clone will most likely move off to search for a location it likes.. so far, i have not have any toxin wars yet.. and i have seen many other reefers with anemones like RBTAs, carpet haddonis, gigantea etc and all have nice healthy sps.. i do run an FR too, with rowaphos and carbon inside, and my water volume is huge, if it helps.. i believe NO3 affects all livestocks, but as long as it's below 20ppm i guess its fine.. i keep my sps with around slightly less than 20ppm of nitrate too.. at least that was the last time i tested it, which was a year ago haha.. cheers bro, hope that helps..

the yuma bro peacemaker is selling is a very nice piece, if i'm not wrong, its the same piece as this one that i have.. quick grab it!
-
thanks bro, unfortunately just received word from home that one of the small newly splitted clones up lorried.. so i'm still back to 2 pieces..
-
some good news on my RBTA, 1 become 2, become 3.. just right after the split.. with all the sludge and goo still..
-
nice catch.. i bought a similar one a few years back from iwarna during their tonga shipment.. havent seen anything similar until now.. good catch..
-
thanks bro, i got this from AM last year.. any idea whats the price of iwarna's blue yuma? oh man, i'm in shanghai now, blogspot is blocked.. can't see the pic.. :S hehe which one? blue yuma from AM, 'rainbow' is among a tub of cheap softies at iwarna.. found a gem among the junk.. haha wao urs got 2 babies already! mine the colour is fading away alot! i think i'll frag out the baby and place it in a higher-lit position.. when i'm back in S'pore next month..
-
my own 'rainbow' yuma.. this fellow has faded its bright colours, but has grew an extra baby polyp for me..
-
sharing some yumas that have been with me for more than 1 year.. anyone knows whether iwarna's shipment of blue yuma looks like this one that i have? blue yuma.. this fellow has tripled in size, about 3inches now..
-
got it, will let my dad know so he can train-feed this fellow.. thanks bro.. haha, really quite a beauty, worth having in my opinion..

bro kimkim i live near 888plaza.. down the road from your house, if u want u can come over.. i can spare you a few small live rocks or a cup of live sand to seed your tank, if you need it urgently.. let me know.. -
my tank was also drilled using diamond cutter, bro tham, must be careful when doing the pipings, make sure you drill enough holes for overflows.. and make sure don't leak, i've had quite a few headaches because of leakings.. anyway bro tham, very nice scaping! foresee a nicely scaped tank filled with sps gems.. more updates!

bro kimkim looking for fishes mah, upper serangoon is GO but sell only corals, not much use to bro kimkim, den what's at upper thomson? havent been to upper thomson b4, didn't know there got marine shop? somemore AM sells equipment and fishes, convenient for him to take a look thats why.. anyway kimkim do keep us updated on your progress! happy reefing! -
+1 on the seawater approach.. NSW haven't failed me even after 2 years even for water changes.. i'm using Nature's Ocean black sand from AM, nice look depending on how you want your scape to look like, imo you should place sand first, den add water, saves alot of trouble also, just my opinion.. looks like a nice big setup on the rise.. keep us updated..
