  1. interested in letting go the pbt alone? my fren might be interested
  2. sun corals will close during the day n open fully at nite. at least that what my ex sun did, so i will onli feed them at nite.
  3. with salt inside, u will get reading from tds meter. it's normal....juz test it from the crystal pro will do. after mix salt no need to test liao. as for the sg part, if i m not wrong, it's not stating that at 25 degree, the sg is 1.025. it state that at 25degree, sg at 1.025, the perimeters r as follow.....dKH 9+ ca 400+ mg 1300+ something like dat.....
  4. there's a way but more troublesome.....if ur tank is not very big can try....remove rocks n ls from tank. remove n keep water in container. remove sand, remove remaining water....pour back water with some newly mixed.... check for no3. if nothing wrong, put back ur ls n rocks....should be quite safe if i m not wrong.
  5. do a 20 or 30% water change after cycling will be gd....after water change, check for water perimeters one more time. if everything on track, u may begin stocking up, but stock up slowly....patience is the key to success.......never rush to fill up ur tank
  6. this product will promote coraline growth too. even my sand r turning purple
  7. in this case, switch the chiller pump to 1260.
  8. i dun mind lah, juz charge u for the fotos upz for a nice fish......
  9. r u using for the same tank? what chiller u using? i think chilling down 1 deg with 10 - 15min is very fast. my 1/2hp take abt 30 40min to chill down 1 deg for my 3 2 2.5 tank but it will rest for abt 2hrs. using a 1262 to feed n return to main tank. the onli diff for u is the change of feeder pump to ur chiller. 1260 is 2400L/hr? when u Tee off, it will be even lower. so my guess is ur chiller might not be able to take the fast rate of the feed pump. try using back ur 1260 tee off method n c if the prob still there anot.
  10. i dun think ur skimmer can support 7 fishes. what u can do is stop buying ls for ur tank. let ur tank stable for a longer time. 2 tangs with ur kind of skimmer will make things worse. do more water changes.
  11. have u check ur no2 no3 levels? what ur kh level also? tangs r known to get ick when first added to tanks but for new tanks, that will make matter worse. what ur tank size n what equipments u running for ur tank
  12. to get rid of ick by hypo, ur sg should be 1.009 instead of 1.015.
  13. what ur tank's perimeter? from what u said, i guess u did not finish cycle ur tank or u add bio load to ur tank too fast. u have 5 fishes dead n couple more down with ick. for 1 mth, ur tank should juz finish cycle n u should be adding fishes slowly. what fishes r u keeping n provide us with more info abt ur tank.
  14. is a 1000l/hr max pump. usually used for feeder pump. dun think is strong enuff to act as a return.
  15. sorry to say this but i will say serve u right. din i warn u that ur tank is too small to keep tang? u dun wan to listen, so prepare to lose some fishes...... hope u learn ur lesson after this
  16. for protein skimmer, is best to get at least 2 times ur tank size. AFP600 is juz right for ur tank which is 800+L. so that will be too small for ur tank.
  17. mandarin will do better in a mature tank. n u need a very big tank to keep 2 mandarins else they will stave to death
  18. it's better if u can look at somewhere 12k for return. u still have to take in the headloss. as for skimmer, u might wan to look at a much bigger method. a 702 will be a much better choice i feel.
  19. Reeflux 150w DE bulb used for 2mths - $40 Seio M620 wavemaker - $15 Eheim compact 1000 pump. adjust flow rate. - $30
  20. u should aim for at least 10times turn over rate. with 2 3400l/hr n taking headloss, u will have less than 10times.
  21. have to take care not to overdose. will cause a tank crash due to lack of oxygen cos of bacteria boom.
  22. so far so gd. keep eating bamboo non stop. they r real cute when small, but when they grow bigger, they r black as well with that silver lining below the top fin. more chio imo.
