  1. Bro your skimmer using the dc 5500 diablo pump right? U can try call ah beng if he has ready stock or the place where u bought the skimmer. The skimmer pump is the same as the return pump. Just replace the impeller to your current pinwheel
  2. Bro i dont mean to be rude but pls understand topic starter set up before u give some useless advise. Bro here is on carbon dosing. Are u aware that u need a strong skimmer if u are carbon dosing? Have u kept a full reef tank without running skimmer for few days? If not, may I know how u know that a few days without skimmer will not have impact on his reef tank esp when he is undergoing carbon dosing? And please dont compare a fowlr with a reef tank.
  3. Redsea Leopard wrasse. 2 Female. With me for 2 yrs. Take both for $120. Black leopard wrasse from Henry. With me for 1 yr plus. $30

  5. Due to too many pms, i couldnt reply to all. Fishes and tank sold to a nice gentleman. Mod pls close thread. Thank u.
  6. Now u saying all set up are diff, flow depend on individual?
  7. This statement from my understanding is fowlr need more current than a reef tank.
  8. It depend on what kind of fishes or corals. Lps can do well with moderate current or flow. Sps need stronger flow. Most fishes will do ok with flow like u find in a lps tank. But if u are keeping for example AT, they will prefer current like what u can find in a sps tank. If u ask me, there is no fixed rule for current or flow. It all depends on your rocks scaping, kind of corals or fishes u keeping. These are all based on exp. As u gain more exp, u will know how to see. Reading off the net will only gain u the basics.
  9. Bro u got me confused. 1st u tell ppl that a fowlr need more current n reef need high return. And i am asking u regarding this matter and yet now u are saying diff setup are diff? 2nd question if u are asking me? Yes I can guarantee 100% success.
  10. Mine was set to run a degree diff.
  11. And something which got me very curious. I can only know if a fish is healthy, but how do u tell if a fish is happy? I seen u commenting a few times saying your fishes are happy, wish to know how u tell....
  12. For a reef tank given your tank size, 2 x wp40 might not be enough. Does that mean u need to add more wavemaker for your fowlr tank as u say fowlr need more current than reef tank? Or if the 2 x wp40 is enough for your fowlr, does it mean i can use only 1 wp40 for a reef tank but need to increase my return rate higher than 18000l/hr?
  13. If u size your chiller correctly, It shouldnt run for 2hrs. My 4ft was using a hailea 0.5hp with external thermostats, it ran for 45min n rest for 2 hrs.
  14. Bro u sure about this statement?
  15. 0.3 is good enough to kill ich. Just have to monitor and make sure it doesnt get out of the range.
  16. Actually hypo treatment is the one with narrow margin. For seachem copper, the effective range for killing ich is 0.2 to 0.5. It is very diff for u to miss this range.
