another way will be starting with a smaller tank. equipments will be much cheaper n will make ur hobby more affordable. alot of ppl mislooked this n gt a cheap 4 ft tank onli to end up using a undersized skimmer, low flow return pump. i believe u will noe a decent skimmer for a 4ft is not cheap.
it depends on how much u trust the brand of the pump. but my advise is, return pump is one of the important part of ur system. dun save on this. as for the pricing, very simple, y a bmw cost so much more than a vios even though both have 4 wheels?
the 851 was still for sale when i was there in the evening.... better go grab fast if u wan....think realli worth to get, 1st hand item at 2nd hand price
bro finally ur tank is here, when it's up n running, remember to invite mi over. btw i gt my 4ft tank liao. will be cycling it slowly.....while looking ard for chiller n light set
tot mp40 is adjustable? if it's too powerful, can tune down right?
anyway if u r thinking of changing ur wavemaker, pls let mi noe. i need a mp40 for my 4ft...tks
After mths of looking for a suitable tank, I finally found the tank of my choice. will be going ard to look for nice big rocks. will be using my current 3ft T5 fixture for my new tank first. anyone interested in taking over my current tank?
most of ur fishes r quite small so i guess is still okie. my tank is slightly bigger than urs n i have 27 fishes. i have 5 tangs, the rest r most wrasse n goby. with the help of a denitrator, my no3 is kept at 5 - 10
other brand of chiller i dunno, but i m confident that a 1/4 Artica can easily handle a 4 2 2. my fren is even using a Artica 1/10 to chill his 3 2 2.5 tank. down to 26degree running n resting time is almost same as my 1/2hp chiller. he is using 1 250w + 2 T5 while i m using 6 x T5
mostly LPS. my tank ht is 2.5ft n i gt a clam on my sandbed. been doing fine. also a green SPS n some monti on the higher level close to water surface. the onli thing i dun like abt this fixture is it onli has 1 power plug which mean u can only on n off 4 tubes together with timer, otherwise i feel for normal usage, it does the job well.
most ppl build rect tank instead of cube i guess not becos of more prone to failure. do u noe if u build a 4ft cube, how big will that be? n to cover a 4ft width, u noe u need how many lights to cover the whole tank
there r a few ppl with 2ft cube n i dun hear them saying any prob abt their tank
