NO3 is not the most important thing to take note of in a reef tank. but i kind of surprise that u r only trying to tackle ur NO3 instead of some other more important perimeters

cheer up bro, this is part of life. all living things will have to go someday. till date i lost 5 dogs. some due to old age, some due to sickness. end of day, as long as when he/she was alive, n u guys had a happy time together, it good enuff to have sweet memories. sometimes letting them go is a gd thing actually. stop them from suffering. dogs r very much like humans actually, when they hit a certain age, they will get all kinds of sickness. i actually put a few of mine to slp as vet say it more kind to do that.

yes normal for corals to go to "slp" mode after lights off... sometimes certain corals need a longer time to get used to new condition. but this coral is known to be hard to keep alive. gd luck to u

something wrong with ur themostats? cos 2 hrs go up 0.4, but start to run after 150min, meaning 150 - 120min, 30min go up 1.6degree?

i do not believe luck gt to do with success with sps. to be successful, u need the right equipments, right perimeters n hardwork. in ur siggy, u stated u measure only ur NO3, even at 5, no3 is too high for some sps. for start, i will advise u to try some of the easier sps.

there r some members in here who keep sps with only T5 n yet can maintain the colours too. infact this is the past n ppl r trying to do that with led now.... r u suffering from time lag?
