guess is those very fine ones that came out from the FR. it will not clear off. u can try sucking it out when u change water. as for my tank, now still in a mess. havent gt the time to tidy up yet. will take pic after everything is settle down...

For mi, i onli run my return pump n wavemaker during cycling....no skimmer, no lights no chiller.....

usually we dun count by days.....we test the water with kit to determine if the cycle is complete. for mi, i usually wun bother with the newly set up tank until 1 mth later.....the longer u cycle, the better it is. n pls dun buy LS to test water...5 days is still too early.....patient is the key to reefing.....

for me, i will do 50% water change after cycling.....

actually for a 3ft. this size is juz nice....a good guide for skimmer is get 1 that support at least 2 times ur water vol....i m running a sk2 for my 4ft....very happy with the performance.....
