juz to add on, my current 4ft due to my renov delay did not undergo cycling too....day 1 move in tank, put in sand, scape with my live rocks that were out of water for more than 12 hrs. 3 hrs later iwarna deliver nsw. by the time my tank was running, it was ard 6pm. went for dinner, went to old house to catch 2 fishes to throw into 4 ft tank. after that everyday i will throw in 2 3 fishes. by end of 1st wk of setting up my tank, i have abt 2 fishes with all my corals inside. n my corals not those brown stuff. 7 days later, i added 5 tangs together. after running the tank for close to 3 mths now, everything is doin well except for NO3 abit high at 20.

When i started my first 2ft tank, i was not aware of cycling tank. i set up the tank at night with live rocks from reefer and nsw with new sand. following day, i added 4 clown fish and 2 small tangs. 2 days later i went iwarna to get some corals. till today, my 1st coral is still in my tank. tank was running for 4 mths b4 i decommed n upgrade to my 3ft. none of the fish die. so to say, it is possible to start a tank without cycling n yet not crashing it right?

there is no fixed time, alot of factor will come in. best method still using test kit to tell.

hey guys, do share how long ur chiller does ur chiller rest after chilling down. pls list down ur tank size, heat load n if skimmer n pumps were placed outsump. i heard of chiller resting for 6 hrs and i cant understand how that can be done. last night i tried out my system with only my return pump n wave maker running, the rest all switched off. in 1 hour, the temp raise by 0.2. with my full load, the temp raise back 1 degree in 2 hrs......does placing ur skimmers and pumps realli help alot in reducing heat load in tank?

ur chiller thermostats is not accurate hence it kick in after a short time.....most of us use ext thermostats to override the chiller one. but then it ur choice....i used it on my 650 b4.....chiller will only kick in after 3 hrs

depends on ur lighting and height of ur tank. i kept mine on the rocks near to the light as i m using T5 onli. also u need some indirect current blowing at them

i have a hydor K4 and a seio 620 which i looking to sell off to make way for new toys. K4 is abt 2yrs old but in use for abt 1yr as i using mp40w now. seio come with algea free magnet holder. both r in good working condition and r cleaned up. K4 will be going for $70 seio 620 is going for $30, if u do not need the magnet holder, it will be $15 but u need to find ways to mount the wavemaker as i do not have the original holder. viewing and dealing in pasir ris only. near fish farm. ty

hi all, i have a few orange monti lying ard and tot of selling to ppl who wish to try these easy sps. frags r ard 1" only but these r fast grower given the right condition. each frag is going for $5 only. FCFS only. collection n viewing will be at pasir ris, very near to the fish farms.

u only need to set once. but once u power off the pump, u need to redo again, this is the partt i do not like.
