new tank with new tangs will usually result in ich outbreak.....last time i added an AT to my tank which was less than 6 mths old, end up kena ich, died, n took 9 other fishes with it......from that day on, i learnt my lesson....

why tear down bro and restart? i say.. tear down, coralRX and rocks go in to the 4ft.....

fyi mystery wrasse is aggressive towards some red wrasse....

nice tank for a start up. but why is the airstone skimmer in the main tank? run some carbon n FR in ur sump....nitrate during cycling stage depends on many factors....my tank during start up nitrate is 10, till now still 10, n i using alot of dead rocks....so does that mean dead rocks help to reduce nitrate?

imo, this product is quite new, if someone buy n sell after awhile.....either he is too rich to try out product or the product sux....lol

for ur tank size, if getting reef optopus, go for RO-RPS-5000EXT, powerful skimmer at affordable price.....

ur SG abit low, try to bring up to at least 1.021 ca 420-450 gd enuff KH 9 10 gd enuff MG too low....dose up to 1300 at least

i tried mine on 3ft no prob....2 fire paired n 1 purple...they r peaceful n do not fight. right now i have 1 fire n 1 purple in my 4ft...coming 3 mths liao...no fighting too

for me, i get sometime tat is rated 2 times or more my tank size....my water vol is abt 500+L, my skimmer is rated for 1500L. my tank is over stocked but no3 is ard 10

good guideline is 10 times the total vol of ur tank. for my 4 2 2, i m using aquabee 7000 + eheim 1262...hope this helps

there alot of reasons to why ppl quit marine. some may be 5min interest, tried it, sian liao so quit. some may be due to money, but halfway thur, need to feed baby, lose job, etc.....some may not be able to take failure as in they cant manage to keep their fish or coral well, so they quit....so many reasons lol

output from the return pipe will be direct n narrow. programmable wavemaker have wider n random flow, which is good for sps....

not realli possible to overskim ur water... good skimmer not on for 24/7? false getting a underpowered skimmer will make u waste more money. let us noe what ur budget for the skimmer. for ur tank size, a decent skimmer will not be cheap
