+1 on that..also price of the drop in will be lower than the 1/3 comparing both brand new. go iwarna n look at how fast the coil can pull down their tank temp. i regretted i did not get that chiller.....

for sps, i think better to use salt mix for ur water change. what i notice is nsw usually low on kh, ca and mg...not very ideal for sps...

Hi all, decided to keep the current tank and do some changes to keep me in the mood of reefing. Here r some items which i intend to change due to me doing some changes to my tank. Aquabee 7000 return pump - $280 Skimz SK2 kone skimmer with ehiem compact 2000 feeder pump - $800 Water top up tank with aquabee 300 - $40 hailea HC 500A - $450 ehiem 1262 with cracked top but still workable - $60 (have to wait for me to get a replacement pump b4 i can sell if not i will continue using.) that all for the moment. will update if i decided to do more changes to the tank.

u going for nsw? that means u asking them to send u nsw every wk for ur 10% water change? or planning to set up a water storage tank? 10% of ur water vol seems alot liao....

hey Law, do u think this will work? if water reach 30degree, controller will shut off skimmer, lights, FR, 2nd return pump and activate fan to cool on the water surface for a 4 footer? any idea where to get hold of such controller? tks

if possible stick to 2 pumps, what chiller r u using? u must ensure that the flowrate is suitable.

i like the quote of what bro solo said to me when he saw i kena this shit....our tank is like a time bomb.... u may find ways of preventing tank from overheating, but what if the controller nothing wrong, but chiller pump jam or main return pump jam, or filter too dirty causing overflowing of water or maybe something shorted in ur house causing power trip. from this issue i encounter, i guess if we wan to reef, we need to be prepare for such a day. anything on the tank can fail on us anytime....

placing 1 of each side is going to be tricky. u need to time them prefectly else it will not work....u should make 1 wavebox n the other normal wavemaker. to move the water ard

juz to chip in, these dogs r used by those bastards to breed puppies.....many of them r not in very good state......so ppl who r willing to help this dogs, must also prepare a sum of money to bring them to vet......m sure they will recover with proper care n love. i read abt this somewhere....n most of the dogs r not young anymore....so dun expect to find a cute little puppy
