Hi bro, as I had no time to cycle, I let the system run for a day, added about 6 fishes on the 2nd day, 6 fishes on 4th day. By one week, tank was fully stocked. I was lucky that the system was able to handle my bioload. No fish or coral die during that period. infact they do better than in my old system. I believe the matured live rocks, bacteria and nsw helps. This is the 2nd time I actually did not cycle my tank.

if u not getting chiller, then u have to get auto top up device. using fan confirm can cool your tank down but u have to keep topping up fresh water to maintain your perimeters. just a rough guide, i am topping up 1.5L of fresh water everyday for my 20L tank. For my 500L tank with chiller, i top up less than 3L a week

did u change anything recently? display tank level should remain constant as the water level is controlled by the overflow system.

unless u are rushing to set up your tank, i dont see why u want to do that. 1 of the method i used was using matured live rocks, brand new sand, using nsw, dosing bacteria. tank was set up without going thur cycling. this is only useful if u have no time to cycle your tank.

suggest u get chiller instead of fan. topping up with di water is no joke. u may end up spending more on buying DI water than paying the bill for a small size chiller.

for led, proven is still cree, per chip is average USD 5 to 6. havent factor in the headsinks, drivers, etc. a decent led set starts from $500 onwards. 4 ft need at least 4 of these.

i cant afford to have a QT tank in my house. end up lost alot of angels and fishes.

try using betta box to trap it. feed your fishes thur the box. if u are lucky, it might just go in

what fish u want to catch?

it is normal as they will usually hide in the sand when stress. if u are lucky, u be able to see him the next day. if not it may take weeks.
