What would be the best pump for 1000 - 2000 l/hr for the sump? Ehiem seem to be a popular choice. It is quiet, efficient, ceramic shaft, etc. What do you think?
Sorry I don't have a digital camera or scanner. I will do it when I get hold of it. Anyway it just a simply fishing line with a chip on each end. One for the veg and the other to hold on to the hood to make sure the veg does not flow away.
I tied two clips with a fishing line of about 1.5 feet long with a sinking lead weight attached to one of the clip. I clip boiled veg. on the clip wi weight and lower it wi the fishing line. I clip the end to the hood. When finished I just 'reel' it out.
Hi Achilles,
Thanks for sharing the valuable knowledge. You r verrry meticulous. I sure everyone here is impressed. You have thought of every possible scenerio and I am sure your new tank is going to be the standard every dream to achieve.
On the same subject, is it better to do without filter wool or with wool to trap dirt? Even that should the wool be place before water entering the sump or should it be place before water enter the main tank? Care to share? Thanks.
There seem to be two school of thoughts about using which medium for filtering. Most LFS are using coral chips but Aquatechnic is using bio-ball with very little sand bed and tank condition seem to be among the best.
Anybody have any experience to share?
