  2. Was talk to my colleagues about this idea years back.. all claim impossible.. Below from AquaGenesis International.... The RoboSnail The RoboSnail is the first and only fully automated aquarium glass cleaner in the world today! The Robosnail™ has been engineered according to the highest standards, utilizing and developing cutting edge technology and quality components that create a product unsurpassed by conventional existing manual cleaners. The RoboSnail™ was designed by an aquarium keeper for an aquarium keeper. A high quality product offering simplicity and ease of use for the aquarium enthusiast. The Robosnail is ideal not only for home use, but also for the business place as well. Locations such as hotels, offices, and restaurants can all benefit and allow you to focus on the business at hand and not your dirty aquarium. Thus saving both time and that other scarce commodity...money. So stop wasting your money on animals that never seem to get the job done in an efficient manner, or wasting your time on daily scrubbing sessions. Let a Robosnail automatic aquarium glass cleaner take you to the future of aquarium maintainence which fortunately for us is today. How the RoboSnail works The RoboSnail is very user friendly and simple to operate. The user simply places the unit on the aquarium surface, and once the outer unit and inner units are securely held together by magnetic forces, the Robosnail is ready to go. It's that simple. The user then switches on the RoboSnail and it does the rest. The RoboSnail can sense the aquarium top, left, and right edges to calculate the appropriate cleaning pattern so the entire glass surface is cleaned without missing any areas. The edge locations and respective distances are then stored in its internal memory for future cleanings. Once finished, it returns to the home base location and there it remains until the next cleaning cycle. If left turned on, the RoboSnail will come on automatically once a day requiring no input by the operator. Conversly, the user may manually activate the unit if so desired. These functions are made possible due to our advanced custom engineered CPU unit. Why the RoboSnail works The RoboSnail is an automated glass/acrylic cleaner that prevents algae build up on the aquariums surface. This is accomplished by the RoboSnail's unique ability to clean the aquarium's surface once a day without user intervention. The constant preventative cleaning performed by the RoboSnail stops algae from taking hold on the aquarium surface. At first, it is almost invisible. But as it builds up on the aquarium surface over time, it progressively becomes more difficult to remove. Long periods of neglect result in stubborn coralline algae, as found in marine tanks, or a hazy, unsightly build up that can be found in all aquariums. Since more effort is needed to remove it, the result can be a scratching of the aquarium surface and longer, more difficult maintenance sessions. Benefits of Using the RoboSnail Time is the greatest benefit of the RoboSnail. The user will gain hours of enjoyment viewing their aquarium instead of cleaning it. Manual Labor of scrubbing the surface is not nesessary when using the Robosnail. You simply install and it does all the work. Reliability is what the RoboSnail provides for the user. The RoboSnail will never miss its cleaning cycle as it is constructed under the highest standards using high quality materials. The RoboSnail is more cost effective than any alternative aquarium cleaning solution. The RoboSnail is the only automated cleaner in the world and is patent pending. Products of similar price and function are only as effective as the operator's cleaning routine and are time consuming and cumbersome.
  3. Hi, It still possible grow back under good condition.. It is Acan dead spot or skeleton.. Most LPS can reproduce both sexually and asexually. Sexual: In the wild they reproduce sexually by releasing eggs and sperm at the same time, resulting in a fertilized egg which then forms into a free-swimming planula larva. Eventually the planula larvae settles onto the substrate, becoming plankters. This then forms a tiny polyp which begins to excrete calcium carbonate and develops into a coral. Planula larvae are extremely vulnerable to predation, and very few survive. Asexual: They use asexual fragmentation, but its success depends on the coral's ability to heal. Propagation can be done by carefully cutting between individual polyps through the very delicate and easy to sever skeletal structure. Make sure the polyps have retreated so as not to accidentally cut the flesh. Glue the frag to a plug or rock. You can use the 2-part epoxy or underwater putties. The slime that the coral will exude should not come in contact with any other corals and gloves are suggested.

  9. Detail articles can find @ below links.. http://crunchpost.com/nike-shoe-aquarium-from-japan/ http://reefbuilders.com/2011/04/14/nike-shoe-aquarium/#more-32832 Nike Air Max 360 running shoe ABUKU, ABUKU in Japanese mean "BUBBLE" or 泡 in chinese. Below from NIKE: "The shoes we received were AIR MAX 360, which emphasizes the air in the soles more than any other NIKE shoe. So we decided to create something based on the concept of air, the main quality of this model. What we did was keep the soles filled with air as is, but take off the upper part of the shoe and use it to mold a clear material into that shape. This became an aquarium for goldfish, a representative aquarium fish in Japan. What you can see from the relationship between a goldfish and air in this microcosm, a shoe, is the human society and the microcosm that contains it. It's the relationship between the earth/nature and creatures, and the correlation between athletes and NIKE, who contributes to the characteristics of the human body by giving air to shoes. That is the thinking behind the name of this art piece, the ABUKU (Japanese "BUBBLE"). We hope that the people who see this small aquarium built on NIKE Air will stop to think about the artificial/natural environments that surround us and the connection between humans and other living creatures." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9TZ07_pWIW4&feature=player_embedded Below From the movie "I'm gonna get you sucka"..
