7.8 to 7.9 at day or night? Check diff photo-period & check from main tank.. if night and young system, shld be marginal but not really bad yet. Day shld be >8 at least.. Drip kalk during night may helps.. do you have any carbon media or any acidic filter? Try remove them for the moment. Try remove any died to avoid this? Also, depend how mature is the system.. Normally young system tends to tendency of PH swing.. As long as not over populate yr tank shld be fine. Do not stir your sump. May have adverse effects... Cheers and Happy Reefing..

How old is your system. May be help list down your tank ANN measurement trend. if possible.. Note* Ammonia & Nitrite is unacceptable & stress to fishes..You need to monitor until they over and follow the ANN Cycle profile in videos above you will roughly know when your ready. I suggested full cycled quarantine tank with plenty of live rock in filter system. Normally some sensitive fishes we may need QT around 3-4month b4 transfer to main tank. If fish not doing well. Will transfer to Hospital tank with treatment. The QT process below: QT Tank (make sure no disease carrier) -> link Tank (environment acclimatise) -> Isolation box (reduce aggression)-> Main Tank You will save more trouble or low risk to existing live stock with above process.
