  1. Have 5 tubs of unopened CaribSea ARM aragonite media for calcium reactor at $25 each. Initial plan was to use as sand bed but when bottomless instead. Got a used Skimz reactor at $30. Interested, please PM.

  5. Decided to update u guys on the colouring of the sps under pacific Sun T5 after almost a month.
  6. Thank you, But ice fire is a slow grower. IMO, I prefer the Pacific Sun shallow water as it is more blue compare with aqua blue special.
  7. When compare with my previous combinations of ati n giesemann tubes of similar colour spectrum, IMO Pacific Sun look a little more bluish while PAR wise, I can't comment bcos of new n old tubes (6 are new n 2 are 4 mths old). Your current tube combination was my best option, however u can try replacing actinic with pigment INT ( ati purple +).
  8. We all know that T5 can colour up SPS provide that the water perimeter is suitable. the photos are taken today with the following water perimeter so that the next update, the perimeter shall remain similar so as not to affect the T5 performance. NO3 undetectble by Redsea nitrate test kit PO4 undetectable by Salifert Phosphate test kit KH at 9dkh by API PH at 8.13 by Aquatronica Cal approximate 380 by Sera Calcium test kit
  9. Generally T5 equip with a individual high quality reflector the PAR value increase up to 3 time. You can also lose as much as 35% of the light intensity near the end with the manufacturer marking while the other end without the label as much as 20%. Added another end view
  10. The 8X54W T5 tubes arrangement mounted into ATI Power module are as follow: Back Crystal blue (similar to ATI blue Plus) Spectra+ (Similar to ATI Coral plus) Crystal Blue Shallow Water (similar to ATI Aquablue special) Pigment INT (similar to ATI Purple Plus) Crystal blue Spectra+ Crystal Blue Front A few shots of the corals are taken by Samsung Note3 which lack the while balance making the photos bluish.
  11. With the trend of LED lighting in the reefing world and not much else, it nice to see Pacific Sun developing T5 for the reefer which they have just launched their T5 in January 2014. Recently we have seen it at shore and as I have been using strictly T5 for my sps dominated tank since 2008, I decided to give it a try and review their performance.
  12. my CR return effluent frequently got chocked due to fine grain type n after changing to large type , chockage frequency reduce very much.
  13. Left with 3, 7 & 8 while the rest pending collection.
  14. For those interested in fishes incl. FOC must collect on wednesday after 6pm so as I don hv to house them. While coral can be arrange at anytime.
  15. u can sps/whatsapps me at 91087233 n I decide who to give the FOC items n priority given to those who purchase at least an item. Follow are the gonio which are in my low nutrient sps tank for more than 3 years.
  16. Mother colony of neon green Stylo, mini colony was accidentally broken as shown. the last picture is both mother colonly (12 inchesX 12 inches) with frag at far end.
  17. Decided to strip the entire tank to catch huge sps predator crab and a large worm on Tuesday, so selling the following established all fishes feeding on pellets. 1. Sunrise dottyback(Redsea) 2 inches, 4 year in tank @$30 2. Regal Angel grey belly 3 inches since December 2011 & reef safe in my tank @$50 3. Springeri Damsel 1 inches, 3 year in tank @$10 4. Royal gramma 1.5 inches ,8 year in tank FOC 5. Starski Damsel 2 inches, 4 year in tank FOC 6. 6-line wrasses 1 inch FOC. All coral are at least 3 years in a sps dominated tank 7. Neon green Stylo (3X3 inches) mini colony @$80 8. Neon green blunt birdnest 2 inches @$20 9. Blue Centre light green gonio 6 inches @$40 10. Purple tip green gonio 3 inches @$40
  18. I kept a 3 inches regal for more than 2 years in a dominated sps tank with goniopora.
  19. Can sent me a picture of the bigger optic fibre frag.
  20. Major water change is more effective. For instance, if u do 50% change, u remove 50% nutrient a 1 go. 7 days later u do another 50%, u remove 75% of unwanted water n left 25% of untouch water. However, if u change 20%, u left 80% nutrient. Next week u do another 20%, u effectively remove 20% of the 80% water meaning u left 64% untouch water. At the end u need 6 water change to acheive the same result n off course less stress to occupants n salt money.
  21. IMO your water perimeter is ok. Perhaps u hv dose too many chemical to reduce/up this n that particularly cyano where antibiotic is added. I recommend to do a major water change ie 50% with red sea pro salt n do another 50% a week later allowing u to correct 75% of water. Thereafter start yr rowaphos to keep po4 in check . yr cheato should hv slow growth n if not meat that yr rock is leeching po4.
  22. I stay at Fajar n do hv trip during thunder.
