  1. Thanks for all PMs. Pls note that I am not looking for 'NEW' or 'almost new' PH pen or measuring device. Just need one that is in working condition and cheap. Will be modifying it, so need not be even 'almost new'. Anyone has one no longer in use, pls PM me. Cheers.
  2. Does the lsf mentioned has frozen or powder type ?
  3. Hi, can let me know where exactly is Reef World ? Heard it was in Lor Halus but tried to search for it there but cannot find, except quaries when enter from TPE into Lor Halus. Thanks for driving directions. Anyone interested in anthias and clowns, I saw L35D and T95 unpacking yesterday late afternoon. Many boxes still in process of opening. However can't see what breeds they are. So you need to call them to check.
  4. Hi, I am interested to get a PH pen or any measuring device for PH measuring. Must be in good working condition. Very price sensitive. Kindly PM me if you have one to let go.
  5. Hi freewill, Didn't know you have a SH tank too. I was also looking for yellow/red kudas. Can PM me where you got that one ? Bio @@@@@ have ? Eating already ? How much ha ?
  6. I am using those normal ones now having a sales in Carrefour at $9.90 and comes with a 3-way switched-plug. Aquarium Chiller and MH should not exceed the 13Amp limit per electrical point AND that the aggregated current load should not even (normally) come close to a total of 13Amps. As finally the circuit breaker (MCB) is also rated 13Amp in the main switch board. My point is that you need to know how many extensions are there in the ring that your MH and chiller are connected to that you don't overload the electrical ring, not just THAT particular extension point. All my electrical equipment, chiller, MHs, pumps....that is used in my tank are all connected onto (finally) 2 extensions socket which is the only extensions in the man switch's circuit breaker. Think each point has about 3Amp each when all operating. Suggest if in doubt, consult some qualified electrician. Don't risk the lives of yourself, your family and others. Electricity is a silent/invisible killer.
  7. chinmo, 13Amp wall electrical sockets in residential places are almost always connected in a 'ring', ie, tap from one to another then back to the main circuit breaker (hence called extensions), with some exceptions for certain appliances. So, it is not just THAT socket that counts. If I remember correctly, the total wattage in the 'ring' should not exceed 3000W (anyone can confirm?). This is just one consideration, besides the 13Amp rating per socket. You probably don't want to connect your MH, chiller, home refigerator, TV onto the same ring. These are high current drain appliances. The 2x 150W can be supported by the 13A wall socket in terms of current capacity (asuming no others in the ring), but be careful about the heat generated by the MHs' control gear on the timer if they are in enclosed cabinet. Most timers use plastic gears to on/off the switch, but driven by a small coil/relay and quite heat sensitive. Just some safety thoughts whenever I think of electricity. Happy (and safely) setting up your new SH tank. Cheers.
  8. If my memory serve me well, I recall PP is those brittle plastics. For example, those plastic whistles that kids play with. PE are the 'softer' plastics you use in plastic cup as in those used in water bottle you use in the army. I would be careful about colored ones as the manufacturing process is such that a colored pigment is used in the injection-moulding process where raw plastics (usually in small granular form and looks like japanese rice) are melted and mixed with the colored pigment to give the colored plastic. Salt water may overtime bleach the plastic and the pigment goes into the water. I will go for the clear transparent or translucent white plastics type as no colored pigment is added in the manufacturing process. Carrefour has sale for these tubs now. Dimension is L67.5xW46.5xH39cm. $9.90. Translucent ones with cover.
  9. Bro freewill, I only want 2 of the pcs. I dun think I even get any.........waiting for danano to confirm.
  10. Ho ya, forgot to mention, I feed them live brine shrimps as special treat when I go market. All fishes, including my YT, and my seahorses (in their own tank of course) go into a fenzy and chasing/eating the brine shrimp.
  11. Thanks freewill, Ya, I got one of those clip with netting too. Problem if I dun cut them to small size, the tangs won't eat or problem chewing them as too long. If chpped to small , the netting no use, unless I change it to those of finer netting. Do you soak the nori till very soft ? I am using those from market (no-brand) meant for cooking soup. 90 cents per transparent pack inside 2 round-shape, dinner plate sized bundle of nori. Maybe too cheap and not nice ? But has strong nori smell though.
  12. Hi, can advise how you feed nori ? My fishes eats them provided I chop it into bit sizes that they can swallow. Too messy as the bits swirls round in the current. If too long (un-chopped) they dun touch it or have problem breaking them up even though I soaked them with hot water before clipping onto feeding clip for feeding. Fishes too pampered ?
  13. Thanks to all bros/siss for advise and pointers of sightings. Will check them out. Any reefers letting go, kindly PM me too. Cheers.
  14. Hi, I am looking for the below corals : Starburst Coral Pratas Pumping Xenia Bubble Coral Jewel gonia Clams (3" and above) Or any other non-brown coloured LPS corals will be interested. Any one have any to let go or spotted anywhere selling, kindly PM me. Am also consider to exchange with my neon green hammers.
  15. Need to tompang on this thread on PBT. Went to friend's place last night and saw his PBT not swiming actively but wanted to lie on its side. It was eating algae/nori and swimming actively yesterday afternoon or since it was bought 2 weeks back. PBT about 3.5 inch. Any one can advise what is probable problem or cure ? His tank 6 months liow and so far the other only death was an algae benny 2 months back. Gibies, YT okay. Water parameters tested ok, except for nitrate at 12.5gm/l (2nd color in the Sera Test kit. Ammonia and nitrite are zero.
  16. chinmo, my condolences to your baby SHs. Should do a review such as check water para as what ong mentioned or any other possible reasons for the mass deaths. We are learn from each failure and come out all the wiser for the subsequent batches.
  17. Very nice all. Can PM me where to get some of these beauties ? Price range will be good too.
  18. Wa...missed it. Was around there last night. Maybe now go Bio Ocean to reccee.
  19. Hi Terryz, Where is Lakeside aquatics ?
  20. Think what they have at home depends on what you are asking them about.
  21. Thanks Andy. Will contact you once travel plans more firm. Who knows, maybe this thread may evolved into a major (and legal ) trading pipeline for clams, corals and LS between Indonesia and Singapore. Okay...okay...enough day dreaming. Get back to surfing Pasar Malam first.
  22. Hi, I am also going to JKT around 2nd/3rd week of March. Dates not firm yet but certainly must go. Maybe we can co-ordinate a date/time there and go visit some lfs in JKT. Wa....hobby going regional....
  23. Recalled seeing some in Pasir Ris number 60 on Monday. The one on the right from entrance with many cascading tubs of anemone/LRs......etc, It is on right side of road after the road bends towards left after L35. Sorry dun noe the name and the not so clear direction. But hope it helps.
  24. Think he is refering to the Toa Payoh Blk 126 lfs. Used to be called EYAN, but think changed owner liow and renovated a bit. No more space for big tubs for LR and didn't see any LR in shop when passed by there 2 weeks back.
