  1. Hi I looking for sand-shifting blenny. Anyone selling or knows which lfs have stock, kindly PM me. Thanks.
  2. Can anyone using H&S skimmer advise the height, width, depth (ie. footprint and height) of the skimmer ? Thanks.
  3. Hi, any sightings of sand-shifting blenny ? After reading the sea cuke possible danger, think better get the above.
  4. Bro, can let me know how much is the 500ml and/or 1000ml ones ?
  5. Morgan, you meant put them in the shade (no direct sunlight) next to natural sunlight, as in the balcony inside the flat ok ?
  6. Anyone has one lying around or knows where selling ? Thanks.
  7. Hi, looking for the above. Anyone have one to sell, loan or can point me to any lfs selling, kindly PM me.
  8. Sugest one more item to the list, ie. "Till too high work pressure do we part". From the recent few reefers who'd given up due to work load/changes, the recent job market either add more pressure to working ppl or forces a change of jobs. Those doing regional job and hardly in Singapore, the chances are high they need to prioritise and I am sure job comes first, especially those with families. I am one of the potential situation. So none of the above choices suites me leh.
  9. I had exactly the same problem as yuo. Bought a Atman 105, but it was VERY noisy. First time bought Atman pump. Not sure if it is that paticular one that is faulty. Even in my cabinet, my whole house can hear the noise. Returned it the next day. As I had used this brand ('Ri Sheng' think correct spelling) before it is very quiet and 2 years old now. Now doing the job nicely with my 2014. The fans humming are louded than all my pumps. Since the pump is next to the skimmer, don't think head water pressure is significant.
  10. Thanks bawater. Remembered seeing Biophos II in PR. Also, seen someone mentioned dripping Kalk will help lower/maintain PO4. Is that true ? Anyone can verify it ? Will try to locate that post if can find it.
  11. I experimented over the weekend to use a 1260 to drive a 2014 skimmer. Pump next to skimmer, too powerful and cannot manage the flow. Changed to a China-brand pump at stated 2800l/hr (believe real output much less than stated rate (ard 2000l/hr ?). Cheap pump (ard $20) with me 2 years already. Works fine with skimmer output adjust knob set to mid-point. Find it really a waste to use 1260 and tee-off to drive a skimmer.
  12. Hi, found this thread while searching for a solution to lower PO4. Any updates/feedbacks on the usage of the contraphos ? Where besides PR selling and how much now ? Is the amount to use is 500g fr up to 1000litres tank as in bawater's original post ? Thanks for advise.
  13. No. 3ft tank even without all the LRs and other LS, already not enough space for this fish this size. Further this BT is big and very active. Always swims at the front of the tank. Blue Tang needs lots of space and they really do laps in your tank. I don't even recommend 4 ft if it is cramp up.
  14. Ya, nice fish and good temperment. Minding its own biz doing laps in the tank and into rock-scape. Maybe if no one wants and too long in my tank and begin to love it, may do a re-scape just to accomodate it.
  15. Hi, borrow thread. I am looking to get a pump at least 3000 l/hr to 6000 l/hr as return pump from sump up to main tank of 5 ft height. Am considering Ehiem 1262 and Haliea 6550. Any reefers with respective experience kindly share regards effectiveness to transfer high flowrate at that height. Which pump will you choose if have to pick one ?
  16. Hi, selling on behalf for a friend the above. $25. Healthy and active. Only tanks 5ft and above need consider. Need lots of space to swim around. View AMK.
  17. Ya, got mine brand new at same price too. Really easy and fast to use. To keep, the instruction says to rinse it with water to wash away the SW on the pen, then use calibration fluid in the cap to keep it. Keep the glass probe soak in the PH7.0 fluid. Becare not the dip the pen beyond the maximum level mark when measuring. Think it is becos the there may be gaps around the LCD display that SW may get into and reach the electonics inside.
  18. Thanks barracuda for clarification. Just got my PH7.0 calibration liquid from Clementi since was there this just now.
  19. Thanks. Will go check it out. BTW, was told those car battery water sold in petrol station in bottles is at PH7.0 as it should be distilled waters. Not sure it any additives inside though. Anyone can comment or has tried measure it ?
  20. Hi, like to know from reefers if distill water can be used to calibrate PH pens to 7.0 reading ? Believe distill water should be at PH 7.0 ? If so, car battery water ok ? Kindly advise what source of common avaible liquid can be used, beside getting calibration liquid from lsf.
  21. Reborn yesterday evening ard 6pm, still have some Yellow Tangs, lots of damsels. Sealife yesterday just came in some LS. Have Blue Tangs around 5 inches. Saw some Purple Queen anthias too.
  22. Using references these few days and their stated duration of use, saw some 2012 sold at $20 and 2014 sold at $40. If too close to new prices, then easy decision.
  23. Thanks roidan. May go take a look. Saw an Achillies Tang in CF over the weekend. 3 digit figure. Think condition plays a big part as usual.
