Ya...mosquitos does not like salt water. The may be attracted by the heat generated by the tanks's equipment, eg. Lights, pumps..........etc, thinking some living things there so can suck blood. Try to dissipate the heat by fans or something.

Had a niger tigger once upon a time, until I give it away to the reefer who also bought my 4ft tank. My, this guy is fierce....practically jump up to grap the chunks of market prawns I was trying to feed him and some corals. Well, the corals had no chance to the food. Bite my fingers many times. The only LS it dosen't touch was my BTA. As its past-time behavour, likes to create deep, big hollows in sand to sleep. Ya, interesting fellow, but too fierce to my liking.

I scoop out into a small plastic container enough for 2-3 weeks for daily use. The rest keep in the original tin container in cupboard until next refill is required. Minimise opening of the tin.

Maybe a sea cuke may help ? In goes whatever on sand bed, out comes clean sand

Cannot remember which flight. I travel almost every week to everywhere ! Sometimes went to wrong hotel room which room number was my previous trip Think all SQ flights has the same programs. Very suffering to watch same movies every sector. Under the Movies-on-demand and then under documentary section. Not sure if they had change since I saw it last month in July.

I had seen a documentary while on a SQ flight about mantis schrimps. They have 2 drum-like claws and when clocked (as in clocking a gun/rifle) and let go, it releases a punch of more than 60 pounds (if my memory serve me well) of force upon impact !! Enough to stun/kill any LS or possibly break thin glass, as shown in the documentary. This may point you to the murderer of your gobies. Not sure if documentary still on KrisWorld. Saw it last month.

Most reefers drip calcium hydroxide solution, the brand commonly used is Kalkwasser. Can be found from one of the sponsor here. Easy and cheap.

Skimmer back on sale. Buyer committed and requested to collect couple days later. Then aeroplane took off today when I asked buyer when collecting. Bought at $55. All pipes/foam still sealed in original plastic bags. Skimmer never touch water yet. PM me if interested.

Any updates if batfish still available ? Can any point me to info for batfish that I can get more info to decide if I can keep them happy/healthy ? Have a specimen tank and thinking of a goby/batfish tank. Thanks.

Thanks coralreef, Just came back from there too. Got a Powder Blue Tang, and Henry's homemade concoction of fish food paste. Also saw some small transparent schrimps with yellow or orangey outlines. Very nice but scare tangs mistaken them as mysis, so better not buy.

I have a bubble that has a small bone-base when it was small. Now it grown and expand way too big for the base, almost to become a ball, encompassing the entire base. How, or is it possible, to frag it or is there anything I can do to make/change its base to a larger one ?

Hi, I have the followings to sell, which had been with me for a while now. 1 derasa = 4-5 inch, brown with white short-stripe patterns, now growing a new layer of shell. $60/-. 2 croceas = 3 inch, have a blue and a purple ones with patterns on the mantle. $30/- each. 1 hairy (greenish colour) sps frag about 1.5 inch with another branch growing at the side. $15/- Sorry no DC to take pic. Can view in AMK. Reason for selling is that I want to change to FOWLR tank and downgrade to T5. May be selling all corals/chiller/MH and maybe even the entire setup due to work committments.
