You should go straight for 3ft. Else you will uograde again and again. Do plan properly and you will definite enjoy this hobby. There are so many great reefer to offer help.

I use Kent Marine RXP to flight ich. Seem effective and reef safe according to specs. Except don't used it with Star fishes, Sea Urchin, sharks and some other fishes and invertibrates. Previously I kept some corals and seem RXP don't have impact on them. Maybe other senior reefer can comment.

Skimz is carried by AquaMarin in Jalan Kayu. Call them before going to avoid disappointment (means sold out la). They are very nice people.

Hi John Bro You are right, the Ehiem 2227 acts as a wavemaker for me too. Water pass through a pre-filter canister before entering into the 2227. In the 2227, it contains only Eheim substrate for bateria. Media will be sold together with the 2227 with no additional cost. Guess no need half a year...LOL. Cause in my 2 ft quarantine, it become like display also...

Hi Pauline 1.5 * 1 * 1 tank, you can either use canister or hang on from Ehiem. If Ehiem hang on, you can try Liberity 150 or 200 model. If Ehiem canister, then 2213 should be good enough. Of cos if you intend to upgrade you tan, then you can check out this site http://www.eheimasiapacific.com/prod_eheim.html. BTW I am going to decomm my quarantine tank soon (next 2 weeks). Its a 2 * 1 * 1.5 with black cabinet running on Eheim 2227 (Wet/dry). This canister according to specs can use up to 350L tank. So even you upgrade to 3 * 1.5 * 1.5 also no problem la. Just wait for my thread on decomm soon....hopefully. Upgrading my quarantine tank to 3 * 1.5 * 1.5 with overflow so no use of the canister. Hi Bro Anemone shrimp as per its name will do best with a Anemone as a host. They do use it for protection against aggreesive fishes as they look nice to eat.

Are you using a canister as your mechanical filtration? Check your media used. Normally if the filtration is working up to speed, water should clear in 1 -2 hours. From the picture, I rough guess is your tank should be 2 ft * 1 ft * 1ft? I have a 2 * 1 * 1.5 ft tank using Ehiem 2226 and it clear up within an hour. BTW are you using Salt mix or NSW? Your light looks cool, can share the specs and where you brought it? How much also la.

Hi Bro Left 3 Acanthocepola krusensternii in CF as of Sunday 1st Feb at 3:30 pm. 2 of them are ok and 1 does not look so good. They are all about 3 inches in length. Cost 2.5 Red notes per fish.

Hi Bro I do not run chiller as well. However I try to cool my tank using 2 * 5" Fan. So far so good. Of cos running a chiller will be best. I do not have space for chiller as it will heat up the house. Unless I shift house then will install the Starmex chiller.
