Hi Bro I am not sure how much you know about electrical wiring. Cos if you are not sure, then wiring this box up can be a nightmare. You won't be able to troubleshoot what goes wrong if hit problem. You intend to use it for good? You can PM me more questions if needed. I normally have lots of meetings in the day and in pubs in the night.

I own one of this box before. Mine comes with my AquaTechni tank. Yours look new. The timer can control up to 2 channel fro lights. You will have to plan how to wire up the rest of the equipment to have a centralise control. What I could think of the pros and cons as follow: Pro : Neat and tidy if you are able to do a good job. Easy maintenance for switching off the equipment from a centralise place. Con: If you use "hard" wired of pumps or equipment into the box, then replacing the equipment is a pain in the Axx. Thus planning on what you need is the pre-requestis for using this box. Alternatively, sell me cheap cheap la....just kidding.

Maroon Clowns are quite aggressive clown fishes among the rest. Thus adding a Perc or black clown at this point of time can be risky. How long has this Maroon been in your tank? You might need to partition or isolate this Maroon before adding other clowns.

Hi BlackDiver Looking forward for your tank thread posting. Guess you should have lots of nice gems. All the best.

Hi Hammy Bro Good choice of skimmer. I am also using MCE600 for my quarantine tank too. Always quarantine to prevent lost in the main tank. All the best.

Hi Bro The coomon name for Blue Flavivertex Pseudochromis is also known as Sunrise Dottyback. Ever LFS in SG did bring in before. Think either LCK or sealife ever did. You may wish to leave your contact with them as soon as there is shipment for this fish, sms you. This fish normally sell fast. BTW dottybacks are semi-aggressive thus do not let it be the first fish in your tank.

Surface extractor is a passive device (no power needed) that can attached to your canister intake to take out surface water as well as tank water. Then it will flow thru you canister for Mechanical, chemical or / and Bio filtration. You can check out the eheim web site. Of cos they do have other MIC (Made in China) brand that works as well. I prefer the MIC brand as it is easier to config and cheap. In short cheap and good.

Check your overflow compartment. I do have fishes jump into the overflow compartment due to 3 kingdom.....

You got yourself a great canister!!!! Hurray. Its a Pro II canister. Are you using the input with a surface extractor? If yes, then lower your surface extractor till its below water surface. Do the self priming as this canister comes with it. If you are not using with a surface extractor, then it should not matter whether your canister is filled with water. DO NOT turn on your canister first. Do the priming and ensure that water flow into the canister. You should see air bubbles coming out from your output pipe. Once all the air been purge, that's the time you can turn the canister ON and start to Rock and Roll.

Using air bubbling method will cause lots of salt creep. Means that salt will accoumicate outside your tank and start to destroy your furniture and other household stuff. Normally in marine, we provide good turn-over rate (return pump) and good circulation (wave maker pumps) to provide good oxygen exchange in the tank.

Hi bugattilambo Bro or Sis I been running a Ehiem 2227 (Wet / Dry) for my 2ft quarantine for more then 1.5 years. So far so good. I cascaded a pre-filter canister before the ehiem 2227 to easy the regular maintenance. Basically do monthly change of the mechanical media in the pre-filter once a month. My Ehiem canister is more for Bio as its running wet / dry. Still need to "flush" every quater. Been using Ehiem pumps for many year be it canister or universal pump. Its reliable and worlth every dollar for this investment. Not sure how urgent you need the Ehiem canister. I am in the process to decomm my 2 ft quarantine and will be selling my Ehiem 2227 with the prefilter. It should happen in the next 2 weeks or so. Currebtly cycling a 3ft tank to replace this tank as quarantine. Thus you may wish to lookout my posting once i decomm. In the mean time, if any reefer letting go a ehiem canister, you may wish to check it out. All the best in reefing.

I "third" to yellow_tanker's compliments for SM. I love to read these postings as well the other posting by SM on the "continous feeding". Been wanted to build a Algea Scrubber for my tank and still in progress. Once done , will post to add on to this thread. -
How long is your Majestic Angel in your tank? Maybe you manage to get one that does not disturb corals. Normally large angels love zoas. Read from a book that bumblebee snails are not adviseble for reef tank. Let me find the title and you may wish to read about this snail.

I agree with binosage bro, all mistakes can be forgiven and not forgotten. I am sure takumee bro will pay attention on the next tank he setup. It is a pleasure to see so many senior reefers giving advice and tips. I learn from this thread too.

Use your Ammonia Test Kit to measure and see if there is Ammonia present. That will be the day you can remove your prawn.

Sohal are normally not too fussy eaters. Too stable, you may also start to worry as they can be very aggressive and naughty. My Sohal being the smallest Tang that introduce late last year is becoming King of Ring now. My 2 cents: Quarantine a newly brought Sohal (smallest if possible) till it feeds well. Then you can introduce to your existing tank. BTW what are other fishes in your tank? You keeping Reef or Fish only?

Even Clementi PolyArt sells too. They operate 24 * 7 thus you can go anytime.
