  1. Hi Bro To catch a pistol shrimp, you can self made a trap. Use a 9/12 or 12/16 mm eheim rain bar and cap one end. Place this rain bar near to the pistol shrimp location, then inject some mysis shrimp thru the holes. It should attract the pistol into the bar. Good luck.... Use 16/22 rain bar if your pistol shrimp is bigger.
  2. THat's a nice Regal Angel that Seet has. Go and try if he is OK to sell.

Anyone has the following: Aquatronica Active Hub ACQ215 Aquatronica Temp and Level Interface ACQ210TL Aquatronica Power Unit 6 UK Plugs ACQ012U For the Power Unit 6 UK Plug, Bro Richie13 is also looking for it. If you have to sell, then Richie13 first then me. Hi Richie13 bro Upz for both of us looking for one of the same item.....
  4. Sim Lim Tower basement. A corner shop that display lots of LED.
  5. Guess everyone should know that Aquamarin (AM) is open through out the Lunar New Year period.
  6. Hi Bro Coral Farm in Lim Chu Kang Lane 6F unit 60 normally has stock round the year on Percula Clowns. They do have paired clowns, however will command a premium price as the paired clowns are specially selected with very nice coloration. They do have loose pieces selling < 1 Red note per clown. This will depend on yourself in choosing. If you are looking for a pair (1 male 1 female), there is a formula to obtain the % of odds (assumption random sex distribution). Here we go: No of clowns vs Odds having a pair (NB: This info is from Jay F. Hemdal whom is writer of "Aquarium fish Breeding") 2 50% 3 75% 4 88% 5 94% 6 97% 7 98% 8 99% Thus, if you must have a pair, I would think buying 5 at a go will give you a 94% chance of obtaining at least 1 male and 1 female. This will also increase your chance of a mated pair. BTW having 1 male 1 female does not equal to they are mated and will breed. If you intend to try breeding clowns, then buying 5 at 1 go make sense. Please....please, make sure you have enough space to allow 5 clowns to stay and not buy by impulse. I am no expert in breeding and there are reefers in this forum had many successes. You may wish to PM them for more advice or read more either books or via Net. Cheers
  7. Very hard to find a skimmer for lotsofloo leh. Need box from a 2nd hand skimmer. May be should buy new from LFS, sure have boxes.
  8. Hi Zebradanio Pretty cool setup. Base on your 1st post and 1st pic, is your tank sitting on top of a glass table? You tank size should be 2 * 1 * 1 = 54 litres plus minus = close to 54 kg. Is your glass table "stong" enough to withstand the weight for long period of time? Just my 2 cents.
  9. Must see your FTS. Keep the picture coming. Wish I can have a fish room too. My tank is full and no more adding live stock liao.
  10. Went to SeaLife yesterday and they have Sohal (S/M), Purple Tangs (S) and Red Scooters (S/M). Brought 2 Red scooters and today they are eating brine shrimp and mysis.
  11. HI Bro MP40w should not produce squeaky noise now and then. Did you brought it new? If yes, you can send back to Iwana for a check. If you brought from another reefer, then try this: 1. Did you use the spacer according to the thickness of your tank? It has to be adjust accordingly to suit the thickness else the magnetism might be too strong. 2. If you set does not come with the spacer, quickly buy 1 from Iwana. Else the motor might scratch your tank. 3. Check the wet frame cover to ensure the wet frame portion magnet is not touching the wet frame. 3. Check if the bushing is there between the impeller and the wet frame. Might be the magnet scratching noise on the wet frame. Best if you could identify whether the noise is coming from the Wet (where the impeller is) or the dry portion (where the motor is running). Above is just my 2 cents. Best to bring down the full set for Victor (Iwana) to check.
  12. HI All Newbie Please ensure you have enough space for this fish. You can read in this link http://www.marinecenter.com/fish/jacks/goldenjack/. Here's the quote from Marine Center link: "Very attractive as a juvenile, this species of jack attains a large size in the wild. A very active fish that should be provided with plenty of open swimming room. It is yellowish gold as a juvenile, with black bars. More than one specimen can be kept in the same aquarium, in fact, they will school. It will eat smaller fishes."

  21. Hi bro After much reading on bi-color angel, I think it need to be the first fish into the tank. Once it start feeding and stable, it should be fine mixing with others fishes. What I did for my pair of bi-color as follow: 1. Introduce my bi-color as my first fish into my main tank after the tank been cycled for 1 month. 2. Brought another bi-color (slightly bigger) and kept in my QT. 3. After 3 months, I introduce the bi-color from the QT into the main tank as my second fish. This pair of bi-color (not sure if they are 1 male and 1 female) been in my tank now for 2.5 years with other of my fishes.
  22. Upz for you bro. Regret that cannot accommodate this nice fish. My tank does not have the length for this fish to swim. Hi All Had personally saw this fish yesterday and its a definite steal for this price. Bornfish bro had feed this fish infront of me and its taking all kind of food. Even hand feed it with seaweed. Its about 4.5 - 5 inches. Hope that it goes to a good new owner.
