  1. Seem like we have a lot of ex-NAVY ppl in the forum. I know the camp at Sembawang is full of stories... Anyone care to share? Stories like a white carriage ridden by 6 white horses stopping by the yacht club at the wee hour etc etc ... kee..kee
  2. I wasn't from the Navy. But was a NCC (SEA) Cadet in secondary sch, camp is just beside NDU and TS Singapore...kee..kee.. Can join in or not
  3. I use Redsea many yrs back. The NO3 test kit always give me 100ppm no matter what I do. Even freshly mixed water also 100ppm, bright red result
  4. Try ALTC, just beside changi cam. We get to hear metal cupboard dragging sound, billard ball sound in officer mess, running sound from boots and blinking light from bunks. All this is a part and parcel for my army days. I just too common for me by the time i ORD
  5. The simmond count as a socket bar. I need a on/off socket to turn on power to the ballast and the simmod will drive the power up from 0% to 100%. When dimming down, the simmod somehow do not drive the ballast down to 0%, the lowest it goes still keep the T5 power up at very dim output. So I need a on/off socket to cut off power totally.
  6. I need 2 system becoz I have too many device to control. Each IKS is turn on/off or make wave up to 16 equipement, I exceeded that becoz I need T5 dimming function ...
  7. We have a local agent in Singapore. He do not carry much stock, if so exchange need to be re-ordered from Germany. All in all, he is a nice guy and helpful to fill your need... even home delivery and testing ..
  8. The basic aquastar system cost around $600+. Each module to add into the function will cost between $300-$600. These add up a lot of the cost. Say you want a system to monitor pH, conductivity, redox, temp, water level, 2 socket bar for timer and 2 socket bar for wave making. The total cost will add up to around $4.4k. If you like to measure oxygen and pressure, that will be another 1k down the drain
  9. Maybe its not a must have system. Also the support here is not very good. Anything wrong have to send back to Germany and wait almost 1 mth for it return. One of my IKS had a dead data point which I just cannot afford to put it offline and send back for repair. I can't progam it thru' my comp now

alvy, You might be right. Maybe the impellor is connected directly to the motor. Becoz from the performace chart, as the flow of the pump reduced, so will the wattage consumed. My wife blew her top when she learn that I bought this pump. But then she knew reefing is my passion ..kee..kee So she closed one eyes lor...

    My dragon

Cracked my head to hook the pump into my existing piping. The inlet and outlet of this pump is 40mm while my return piping is only 25mm. Since I can't modify my piping, I have to use a 40mm to 25mm reducer for return. This have causes much water flow reduction ... Over all, its a really quiet pump ...
